  • Hi, Taxi just catching up with your news. How very positive that it is contained and that there is a plan for the next stage of treatment. You're absolutely right to say you never know what's round the corner, and to remind us all to enjoy the here and now. I really admire you for the way you are dealing with all this, it's a huge lesson for me.

Sending you lots of love to you and yours, and oodles of postive energy

    Hi Taxi

    This link here http://www.disabilityalliance.org/f32.htm

explains more about the medical tests which you might have to have.

Hopefully just based on your questionnaire they will decide that you won't have to have a medical.

There are some exemptions (so you don't have to have a medical) but by the looks of it you do not meet them :(.

If you want anymore help let me know

    Hi Taxi

Just read where you put about filling in the tax credit renewal form and getting a fine if you don't. I have not claimed anything for at least three years and get a form each year, that I ignore and don't return it or anything. They have never said that I could get a fine, so now I am a bit worried

Have had a really boring day....everyone has been out at work so spent most of it on my own.

It's way too hot even with all the doors and windows open...it's still 24.5 degrees in here....the air feels so heavy we need a good thunderstorm to clear it.
I'll be glad when it's cooler so that I can summon up the energy to get out without feeling like I'm going to faint.
Even had a sleep earlier I was that bored.

Just checking up on you after being away...Sorry to hear that you have to fill the form in ...could you BCN or Macmillan nurse not do it for you at the mo? A pain I know, esp when you cant concentrate. Dont get me on to the benefits system...suffice to say I wish they would focus on people who have been scrounging for decades while the rest of us were working so that when we genuinely need to claim we can..grrrr
Sorry that the road ahead will be a long one but Im with you on the just try and get on with it ethos, even though its hard to muster energy at times isnt it! Hope that the insurance is sorted very soon - will be a weight of your mind I know.
Re feeling bored puzzles are good because you dont need much concentration and are doing sommat while not being too active..or a talking book to fall asleep to! Whatever floats your boad though isnt it!! big hugs for you!

    Hi Taxi

Good news about the cancer not spreading. There are lots of clever doctors and nurses, not forgetting the people in labs behind the scenes too - out there to help you through as you beat this battle - it can be beaten with their expertise and your positive attitude.

The weather is toooooooooo hot - would be nicer by the sea with a bit of a breeze but inland is not good for me either. Never happy am I - too hot, too cold - give me warm enough to be without a jumper and cool enough to enjoy the sun without frazzling.

Am very tired today - went out to a friend's silver wedding do last night - had several (big) glasses more wine than I'm used to plus I'd baked cakes all day for the event. A good time had by all though so lazy day been had here today.

Rest, eat well and enjoy the next few weeks before the treatment starts it will give you a good start to it all. Nuther ((((((big hug)))))))

Fabulous News re cancer being contained!

Thunder - God yes please, it is just to humid and yucky! (Wouldn't be hillarious if weather people just said 'yucky' instead of high pressure etc etc!

Hope you are feeling a little less bored!

I've spent most of the evening on the breast cancer site.

If it's cool in the morning may try a walk...feel like a prisoner in here...

Am just having a fed up day I think today but never mind tomorrow is a new day.
