I think judging from Kim & Aggie, all you need is white vinegar and bicarb, lemon juice and olive oil for furniture. I have to admit I stopped using furniture polish, air freshener, bleach etc years ago.
I try to buy Ecover when it's on offer, just feels better, especially when the kids were born. However they are so expensive, I have to wait until they're on offer.

Mainly. A few drops of essential oil never hurt for adding fragrance, either. And you can make your own air fresheners with gelatine, essential oils etc. And vodka. I seem to remember cheap vodka being in a few of the recipies.

Some people on here rave about soapnuts for washing their clothes. They are nuts from a tree which produce a type of soap in the washer. You can get a sample for not a lot of cash. Search in the green forums and you'll find the thread.

I'll see if I can find the green thread as that will be interesting.
I do a lot of my cleaning with water and microfibre cloths and read about soap nuts in the cancer mag..so definitely need to have a good look around the net to find what I can do for my new lifestyle..it doesn't need to be expensive to clean.

I raised some money for MacMillan this time last year, and its so good to hear how they help people that need it. You've made me want to do it all over again :D

Re organic..I got some of the faith in nature shampoo (rosemary) and its delicious - smells yummy and left my hair feeling really silky. It was more expensive than some but cheaper than others!

That's great..I will do some fund raising as well when I'm better.
Hypno is signing up for a half marathon for them as well.
I never knew Macmillan did so much stuff until I got this cancer ..I would never have applied for a grant but my BCN suggested it to help with the mortgage ..and they have given me 3 weeks mortgage money and £40 towards fares for the hospital..what a relief that makes to my recovery as it takes the worry away...

I liked the look of the faith in nature stuff but when I read the bottles closer...they are not 100% organic....most are about 70%...but they don't have the other nasties in....be careful in boots ..they have a naked rangeand they vary between 17% organic to 90% organic..

The hardest thing was finding an 100% organic range...most of Dr Organic is 100% though...
Weleda is 100% organic as well.

So pleased they have been able to help you and relieve just a little bit of stress Taxi.

I have to say, when me and DD ran a 10k for them last year, their support team throughout the race were amazing, and VERY VERY LOUD :T
