Taxi do you have any idea of time frames that your insurance aim/have to pay out? Your DH is probably glad he can work the hours to make up for things and look after you but like you say poor soul must be tired and it would be nice for him to be able to ease back a little , fingers crossed for a speedy claim to take the financial strain off you both xx

They are still awaiting the DRs report...but they say they remind them every two weeks and they are also meant to phone me discuss what's happening....the phone call would be due tomorrow but I id speak to them myself a couple of days ago and they hadn't heard back yet and said they would be re contacting this thursday....you never know they may have heard now...

Then it just goes for the deciscion ..so don't think it's long once they get the report....
I hope the dr replies quite quickly as we could do with it sorting and DH can cut his hours down.

Glad to see you are keeping pretty chipper, Taxi.

I've STILL not had a smear test (living abroad etc. interefered with it all) so I need to get onto it. I keep meaning to do it, but don't (I'm fairly sure I'm fairly low risk in my defence). Still, you've shamed me into it, Taxi. Make me post that I've had it within the next fortnight, else kick my butt electronically!

    Hi Taxi,
Is it GP or condultants report the insurance need? Might be worth phoning surgery/consultants secretary to ask them to get Dr to respond quickly - as it would help you snd OH. I once spoke to a receptionist about an insurance report we needed and she said they ignore ins co phone calls but as I had asked she would sort it out.

Glad you had nice lunch and hope you have something good plsnned for today. Weather here a bit grim so good day to curl up with a book, coffee and biscuits!!!

Not sure whether it's GPs or Consultant but do think it's the Consultant...I did mention it to BCN the other week and she was going to ask his secretary to get him to do it as soon as it comes in(BCN did say he usually just puts stuff like that to the bottom of his pile as all hewants to do is treat patients..lol....so if she alerts his secretary then she will put it top of the pile). To be fair ..it is a fortnight today since I first contacted the insurance....
I'm just going to phone them actually ....as I don't want it on my mind all day.

Thats exactly what you posted on my thread, Taxi, and its *such* good advice - basically, if you've got to do it, then *do* it :) good for you

Like Maggiem, I hope you have something nice lined up for today - even okay will do, given the state of the weather, its kind of grim here too.
