It really does, doesn't it. I'm not too bad on following up on my scheduled health checks, but there's more I could do. You do make me think, Taxi.

I'm pleased you have a timetable as at least you know what is happening and you have some form of control now instead of waiting on everybody.

have you got everything ready for your hospital visit?

Yes ..I have my stuff for hospital..just needs packing.

I don't know the schedule for after the op as it's dependant on the outcome of the op...but it will probably be radiotherapy then

    Hi Taxi

    Long time lurker here!!

ESA is paid at a rate of £65.45 every week (usually paid fortnightly) for at least 13 weeks, could be more depending when they call you in for a Work Capability Assessment.

Once you have had your WCA you will be put into the category of either work related activity or support. Each of these gives you extra money each week. So then you would either get £91.40 or £96.85.

The work related activity group is for people that are not fit to do their usual job but with training and courses could get a different job.

Support group is for people who are too ill to work and cannot undertake any work related activity .ie. courses etc.

    Hope this helps a bit.

Can I say a massive thank you - for the esa info, as from Oct apparently thats the route going down, gd to know whats whats xx

DH is at work as usual poor soul...I'll be glad when he can have some time off but bills have to be paid and the money made for car stuff etc so as to keep it on the road...we have no room to cut back on his hours yet. There is a lot of car related stuff coming up.
