Mindful of the above conversation ...... Taxi, your light is still on! I hope thats cos you didn't bother to power down the computer.... I'm pottering about packing ornaments, printing out a mystery shop for Saturday, and hovering to see when next door comes back, as I need to talk to them about their building works (the conveyancer needs to know).

Gosh, two parents with cancer. Well, I certainly fit the criteria, hey ho.

You can't hear me, understand? You're asleep :)

Taxi, I get DLA for a mental illness, it's not much different to a physical one, it's an invisible disability, but if you need extra help, DO apply for it

Another set of boxes ticked, then Taxi - hope you had a good soak and snooze.

Re the hereditary stuff, when my dad died, because he was relatively young (55) and in what is considered a low risk group for what he died of, me and my sister were both able to get tested. We now know what to be aware of, what we are more likely to have problems with, and importantly, what to tell hospitals etc if we ever go in for routine stuff so that we have less chance of an embolism. I am really glad I went for the tests, because even things like my choice of HRT etc in the future can make a difference and I would much prefer to make an educated choice!

However, although my sister got tested, I am not sure that she really sees the info she came away with in the same way, I think she is more likely to have got results that say "you're fine" and not to remember what she needs to do in the future........

We're all different, but the important thing is that your DD's are given a choice - what they do with that choice can be very different but at least they will be making decisions they are comfortable with.

Hope tomorrow's stuff goes well x

Sorry I was making light about DLA ..it was a joke in reference to ESA making people jump through hoops to get even national insurance contribution based ESA benefit and that they'd probably drive me mental..lol..it wasn't meant to take away from people with mental illness xxx

I have a DLA claim form here and if/when I need it doing I'll get a professional to do it thanks x

Have only woken at 7.30pm but feel better for a sleep.....

Youngest DD is going to the hospital with her sister just to see what goes on before deciding..the choice is up to them.
I wouldn't force them either way ..they are both adults now.
It's a good thing they have these things as like Hypno says it was very useful to her regarding lifestyle choices.

Roll on tomorrow and then I have 10 days where I'm not either on the phone or at appointments or waiting in etc..I feel like a prisoner some days..lol
