First time I've had to post today..sorry.
Have had the bone scan done today and ....gosh it's hard and uncomfortable lying absolutely still for 20/30 mins however long it took...lol
Think I'll need a long soak in the bath later...
My consultant will have the results on his computer but don't know when he'll let me know the results ....not worried about that as it doesn't make much difference to my first lot of treatment..
I have my pre op tomorrow...so busy again...lol
Then should be free of appointments until the scan on the 14th...
So can arrange to get my hair done and do fun things for about 10 days....
ESA phoned me today and the lady had a brain and said all she needed was my sig and my sick note...and all the rest of the 34 pages were irrelevant as they were related to income based ESA and HB and CT benefit...no wonder they wanted loads of stuff..they had sent paperwork for 4 benefits instead of one and they don't need my birth certificate either....shesaid shewas going to process it there and then as I said I would post the forms off today which I did...
My stuff came today ..so have my stuff now for hospital..the bras were too small..so will send them back for a refund all the other stuff fits.
DD1 went to GP and asked to be referred to the hereditary clinic..she has an appointment for the 15th...(BCN recommended it as most of her fathers family died from cancer and because I now have it)....I don't know what happens there...I left the choice up to her and this is what she decided.
The younger DD ..hasn't made her mind up yet.0 -
Blimey Taxi - you do have to do a lot, it seems mad. I think a soak is a really good idea - I didn't know about hereditary clinics.... of all my relatives older than me, only my brother and my oldest cousin haven't had cancer, everyone else has..... I'm wondering about that now for myself..... well, anyway, I can have a think about that. Have a soak and a sitout in the garden, I hope. I'm glad most of the stuff fits, that was a quick delivery too.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I rang them yesterday(marisota) when it said order awaiting dispatch and explained that I was going in hospital etc and perhaps she felt sorry for me as got a e-mail about an hour later saying goods dispatched..
The herditary thing ..the BCN nurse suggested talking to the children as 2 parents had had cancer..I didn't ask any questions and she just said all they need to do is go to their GP nad ask for a referral ..which is what DD did today.0 -
Forgot to add MSE stuff...£9 arrived in bank today from Paypal and 2x £17.95 from WWs too....I could pay it off a crad but am now trying not to overpay as I may need it by the end of the month.
If the ins don't pay out I may end up putting bills on reduced payment..lol0 -
Hi Taxi, a good soak with a good mag or book sounds just perfect.

You need one of those neck pillows so you can't sink under water, either that or a snooze in the sunshine.0

Good
That is exactly what you need to do at the moment, listen to your bodyIts all part of being mindful of yourself, listen to ALL your needs, not just external needs of everday life but also your internal needs these are even more important than the external needs x
