Taxis back to basics...debt and mortgage free before 50(feb 2014)

Hi Taxi,
Different hospitals seem to have different policies about parking. Some have annual tickets, some give certain categories of patients free parking and others give parking via Ward Sisters - so they have some free passes. Good luck with finding out - when my Mum was in hospital for a long time we ended spending about £7 a day so definitely worth asking about especially when in hospital or having to visit for out patient appointments too. I wonder if BCN knows?

I'm getting peed off as I think I've been patient enough now.
It's hard to plan anything as I don't know what's happening so am stuck in when I should be going out to have fun

Have just spoke to another BCN and my operation is friday 18th June....he operates in an afternoon so that means I'll get my dye injections on the morning I go in.

On the scan front ..shes going to have a look in the system and phone me back

If they know the operation date now, surely they know the scan date? Thats a bit topsy turvy, to understate the case considerably.

Hi taxi, Sorry there's been no news yet. Is it worth ringing your Consultant's secretary? They're a pretty variable bunch when it comes to replying but I struck lucky and he always get back in touch fairly quickly. might be worth a try... Hope the parking works out where you are - we got really stung by that one cos there was no off site parking on the streets around either. There's been a campaign about it here but don't know whether policy's changing.

Financially, it could be worth applying for a Macmillan grant - I got one for a new mattress (to replace my old one which dug in and hurt all the 'wrong' places), hospital clothes, parking/travel etc. I applied when I'd made my last debt payments and had stopped work so we were in the sh*t a bit. Had to explain the situation to mac adviser who filled in a very short form. It really helped. You might not want/feel the 'need' to do that but no work + debt means it's worth you asking if you want to...
