So sorry to hear news - glad you know it hasn't spread to lymph nodes. I hope you have been given all the information to make decisions or another time to ask the questions you need. McMillan nurses etc sre fsb and might have more time to let you ask questions - over and over again if you need too.

Sending hugs to you and your family,

    Morning all,

Thankyou so very very much for all the good wishes..it means so much to me.

I never knew I had so many friends on here.

Don't know where to start today......

You are all very right as I WILL GET THROUGH THIS as I am very strong.

I don't really have any deciscions to make regarding my treatment......

I'm having the lump removed plus surrounding tissue and the sentinel nodes .....in my first operation(this is what the consultant recommends)...he said I could have a mastectomy if I wish....

The breast cancer nurse will phone me on tuesday to confirm my date for that operation.....she thinks about 4 weeks.

I have to have blue dye put in me either the day before or on the morning of the opso that they can locate the sentinel nodes.

Then lot will go off for examination.....IF the Sentinel nodes are clear ...that will be great as it won't have spread......

IF they are not clear I will have to have a load more removed and take it from there.

I definitely have to have radiation therapy though.

I'll just post this before I lose it

Just wanted to add my sympathy and say that I'm sure when you are over the shock you will tackle it the way your tackling your debts. Not what you'd want but just getting on with it.

I am seriously thinking that I would like chemotherapy as that will definitely mop up any rogue cells.

My breast cancer nurse is lovely and said I can have a wig if needs be and has also put me through for complimentary therapies...aromatherapy and reikki etc....

She did say how big it was but I've forgot and that I'd had it a while.

I've forgotten quite a lot of what she said actually and need to phone as I forgot to ask what sort it was.

I didn't get upset yesterday as I knew in my hearts of heart that it was breast cancer but at no time has the thought of death crossed my mind.

DH got really upset and cried and then I had to come home and tell the kids that I have it and they were really upset....that was so hard!!!!

JJ doesn't know and I don't want him to know.

DH has got up and gone to work for a couple of hours this morning. He is trying to cover some of my money.
