I know what you mean about being organised at some times then other time not - that's exactly what I do and I'm not sure why?? If we can do it sometimes what goes wrong????

Followed you diary some time ago Taxi - then I seemed to lose it - just found it again so decided to pop in and say hello - sounds like a positive plan.

I'm 50 at mo - 51 next month  - I've cleared my cc's :D but still have a couple of loans - not sure what totals are but they are going in the right direction. I'm still too much of a coward to get the totals - but I WILL before I go back to work on 7th September. My main achievement in this year of being 50 is I keep my CC for REAL EMERGENCIES - not used it in months now but I know if car or anything fails I can fall back on it

That's great that you've cleared your CCs..think you'll feel better when you work your totals out..then you know where you stand.

Afternoon all....been really wet here today.
I've been to work but it was quiet but at least I made something towards the debts.
Only been in about 20 mins ...DH is making me a brew and cooking the tea....wedges with left over braising steak from yesterday..yum.
I've just done all the banking stuff....£40 came in from Paypal this morning so I've transferred that to EGG...Checked Halifax and the £1000 I sent the other day has landed at last so will leave it there until tomorrow and then send it back to my account....it's only there to get £5.....Done my PAD to Virgin of £10(that's what I would've spent on cigs)....checked OHs accounts and they seem ok.

Updated my sig and 1st post to account that the car service has come through on OHS Halifax CC...don't think there'sanything else coming up.

TV is rubbish tonight so when DH goes to work I'll do my houseworky jobs and then make a start on the accounts.
Hope everyone is having a good day ...going to check up on you all in a minute.
A NSD for me so far.

Evening all...Really pleased with myself as I've done the housework jobs and am now quite close to completing the accounts....I need 3 statements from our credit card machine provider and everything else is sorted.

sounds like you've done fabulously today, i'm with you on the feeling tired bit though, i seem to be permanently tired at the moment.
I'm with you on the champagne when i get debt free only for me it will be vintage diet coke so i can't drink.
i've been looking at the halifax account for the £5, did you have to move over your direct debits? how is the account how are they customer service wise? sorry for the twenty questions.

    Thanks DT...getting there!!!
LT....Halifax customer service is crap...no you don't have to move your DDs you have to fund the account with £1000 per month...just send it there and back again.
I had an amazing bust up withHalifax last year....it was that bad they gave me £200 compensation...what does that tell you!!!!....
Anyway.popped in friday and was going to open this account and MAYBE use it as main account...after discussing it with the girl in the bank I decided not to swap but am keeping the account open to get £5 a month..it's something towards debt and every little helps I guess...may just open DH one as well...I'll just keep moving that £1000 about. It's quite hard for me as can't use a standing order as my money goes in different days and never know what will be in the account from one day to the next so I sent it from A+L but it went by BACS instead of FP(A+L) only allow £250 p/d faster payment....haven't sent it back yet to my A+L so don't know how long it will take but will work a pattern out.Hope that helps.
Rushed off earlier as DD popped in to see if I wanted to see her new flat so am only back half an hour.
