    Afternoon All

Didn't get on here yesterday - I was over in special occassions.

Had a busy day though. Went to work at 5.30am, then made plum jam in the afternoon. Still loads more fruit on the tree, so will have lots more jam to make. I also made a rice crispie thing. Seems to have gone down ok with everyone.

Having roast lamb shoulder for dinner, with runner beans from a friend's garden (ours have done nothing this year) and asparagus and potatoes.

Met up with a friend for coffee earlier, which was nice as I haven't seen her in months. She's put in her Christmas present request - HM jam:D

Might head out to see some fireworks later, but not sure yet

    Hope everyone's ok

    Afternoon all

Moiiere:j:j:jHow exciting, safe journey tomorrow and try to keep us posted!

Donnygal belated birthday wishes, :bdaycake:sorry was away in the caravan for the weekend. It was me that checked on SunnyGirl's facebook page to see if she had posted, I also sent her a message on there too. Funnily enough I went on facebook to check messages just before I came on here and she still hasn't replied and she hasn't been posting on there either. I do hope she is OK.

Halight hope the twins improve, it must be so worrying and tiring for you.

We have had a lovely weekend away, friends of ours came to see us at the caravan and booked into a nearby hotel for the evening. I think they might be getting the caravanning bug too though coz today we have been round a few caravan sales places with them whilst they "just looked":rotfl:

Hope you all had a nice weekend

    xxx

I am in serious amounts of trouble:o Ann is sort of house sitting(bit complicated to do with the accident last year)

I gave her my word that I would post and keep up to date with everything.

Anyway, she left me a large list of things to say and birthdays etc to remember, people that were poorly or had poorly children or partners(and I lost the list):o

And I haven't read and kept up as I was ordered to:rotfl:

I have been trying to get the house sorted before her op which will be within the next couple of weeks.(Unless she is on a murder charge!)
She has her pre op appointment on Tuesday and I am going over to get her tomorrow.

So can I publicly say sorry to everyone that I missed and to my sweet kind and peace loving wife (I am a total idiot and I am sorry)

Hope everyone is well and sorry to everyone "we" missed.

    Mark.

Hi everyone and thanks, once again, for all your kind thoughts and good wishes. Still no news - don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight! Last message from DS2 was that 'we're still battling on'. My poor DIL, and DS2, too. It's a stressful time, isn't it? Will keep you all posted and, if no news before we leave for the UK tomorrow morning, will find a computer somewhere to update you all.

Mark - don't be too hard on yourself. I'm sure Annie will forgive you! Please wish her luck with her op and give her a b ig (((hug))), too.

Well, I'm going to try and concentrate on Jam and Jerusalem on the TV and get a bit of knitting done. It's finally cooling off now after reaching 42 degrees this afternoon - way too hot, the hottest I've known it here.

May be popping back with some news later on this evening - I hope.

    Hi all,

Had a great day at the party yesterday...it was one of my aunt's good days so she recognised almost everyone...there was photographer there so will post some photos when I get them....she also got her nice letter from the President and her even nicer cheque for €2540, although money means nothing to her now, but its a nice little addition to her nursing home fund. It was an emotional day for most of her nieces and nephews as we thought of her sisters, our mothers, who have all died long ago, there were some good old photographs being passed around too.

Belated happy birthday Donnygal, my 'baby' son, DS3 was 31 yesterday, so a good day to be born indeed.

    Welcome to newbies

Dinner was ham, cabbage and steamed potatoes, with just tea to follow as I am trying not to have anything sweet after yesterday's binge!

To-morrow is the designated day for Ulick to give up smoking so am hoping it goes ok, am going to suggest that we go for a walk to-morrow morning to keep him busy, I do feel for him, I haven't smoked for seven and a half years so have forgotten the longing feeling.

Have a huge cold sore coming up on my upper lip...I get cycles of them, will eat some garlic cloves before I go to bed, as that usually sends them on their way, hate the da*n things, they are so ugly.

Tomorrow I hope to clean my computer room, it is so untidy at present that I will have to do a throw-out before I can get at the corners to clean!

Hugs to all who are not well or unhappy for any reason
