It is 21 days. If you use online banking facility you can click on at the top of the accounts summary a pop up with previous notifications sent out. If you click on the one from January, it runs through the list of changes that happened.are step accounts now given 21 days after statement date or are they still penulties?
You can change the statement date to be certain that the charges are covered however, it would take 2 months to kick in, ie charging period would have ended already and the following one started. does that make sense?0 -

so the statement that money has to be in the account by 3.30pm previous working day is false.
it is now money has to be in account by 3.30pm previous working day by branch except if online banking 6.30pm except if telephone banking xx.xxpm except if it triggers a charge whatever we make up to suit us as we go along!
much better after 3.30pm mark funds as unavaiable so the DD gets paid then Natwest could say Natwest Helpfull banking!!!0 -
However, you can still pay in the working day when the payment is going out and the item could be paid. You do need to make a member of staff aware that it is to cover this though so the 3:30pm rule has never been fixed in stone apart from the days when branches shut at 3:30pmso the statement that money has to be in the account by 3.30pm previous working day is false.
