Out of interest how often do others repeat their head shaving! Weekly, fortnightly, monthly or longer?
DH leaves it at least a month, but two months is too long!
Here's a tip for a more 'professional' look. Do your whole head with a grade 2. Then change to a grade 1 guard. Put on a baseball cap or similar so that the back is low down on your neck and about 1/4 in above your ears, and use this as a guide to trim the edges and to get a tapered look on the back of the neck.
Or get your Significant Other to do the back bits for you.

I always go over DH: there are always a few bits he seems to have missed. Then I take the guard off, and do the back and round his ears, making sure his neck is tidy.
Signature removed for peace of mind

OH wont leave it longer than a month, says he hair gets too long :p

He has a No.1 all over - dead easy to do. I've been cutting his hair for about 15 years, must have saved a small fortune in trips to the barbers:money:

For those who find the clippers pull rather than cut it might be worth checking the blade 'register'.... in other words ensuring that the upper blade is set correctly to the lower one, at the end of its stroke it the end tooth should line up over the lower tooth and not mid-way between teeth. If it doesn't then undo the screws underneath and slide the bottom set in to alignment accordingly.

I have tried to find something on the net to show what I mean and this link is about as close as it gets

I know what you mean about good & bad clippers, after a series of different cheap ones that seemed to lack the power to cut, even after adjusting the plastic screw on the body made them vibrate so bad it was impossible to hold. In the end I have resorted to buying a set of powerful Osters off e-bay with a variety of blade thickness from 13mm all the way down to 0.1mm, they weren't cheap however they do seem to last, esp as during summer I get a friend to cut my hair every 2 to 3 weeks.

My experience with the plastic clip-on guides as supplied with a cordless Moser was that they tended to leave lines of uncut hair which needed frequent passes to remove. The clippers themselves work very well and certainly have enough power and are useful for tidying up the nape......one thing that is really annoying is fluff that grows there. :rotfl:
