Green Waste Collection - How Much?

I have been toying with the idea of signing up to my local council's garden waste collection service. I do compost at home but still have to go the dump with the hedge clippings etc. Instead of me using my car it seems more sensible to make use of the collection service (also means I don't have to clean the car so…

Its always been free here in Ealing, we get 3 large reusable sacks and they empty them every week then the nice Eastern European gentlemen chuck 'em back in my driveway .. they won't be getting a chrissy bonus from me as every bladdy week they chuck all my boxes and bags and bins up the drive and I can't back the car in the drive till I've moved them all... still it saves me a trip to the dump so I won't be complaining anytime soon....
