    Congrats Beebuzz & Bexxie :)

Hugs for three2b - just about to launch into a rant about my midwife too :( ARGH.

Glam - what've you had done to your barnet? I've got really long hair (well, just past my boobs!) and love it, but thinking it's totally impractical, OH's neice loves to grab and munch it (she's 5 months)!

    Hope today went ok fishcake?

Ok now I think I'm caught up I'm going to rant. Went to the midwife today - not met her before and she had the personality of a dead fish, and has wound me up no end. Firstly, she compared this tumour I have on a gland beneath my brain to her getting the odd headache as if I was exaggerating the painful headaches. Then she broke to me that they don't do the nuchal fold measurement on the NHS in Leeds - I asked specifically about this at my last midwife appointment and was told it was and they would then combine with blood results and give me results at 15 weeks. Then she tried to listen to baby and couldn't find it, didn't explain anything and said Ok then, nice to meet you, bye. So I'm left hanging, panicking that baby isn't ok though fairly sure it's just too early to hear, also worried that the blood testing is only 65% accurate and I'm now apparently too late to get scanned privately. I'm not even 100% sure I would've gotten scanned privately if they'd told me but I feel cheated because they told me the wrong information. ARGHHHHH. Oh and to boot, I went to an employment agency this afternoon and got caught in a hailstone downpour as I walked up, had to go in looking like a wet dog... :( I could cry :(

Hope everyone else has had a better day!xxxx

    you ok...
I'm ok just really annoyed at doctors and pretty much the entire medical profession at the moment. Sister is getting worse by the day 4 suicide attempts in 3 days she got my dad in the wrist when he tried to get the knife from her and everyone keeps referring her else were as "we don't deal with that". Dad sent me away in case next time she gets me, now i feel like carp because they have to go for sleeps on a rota so she always has someone with her. yet again we are waiting on someone to see her tomorrow and her councilor has arranged an emergency appointment...............for next week !!!!!!

Need to resist coffee ................. berry tea it is :(

HAPPY 37 WEEKS TO JILLIE, HARLEY & SQUISHY AS WELL
Thanks Glam, happy 37 weeks to you too and Jillie and Squishy. Can't believe I'm here already, only seems like last week I was stood on the patio shaking, with my last ever cigarette in one hand and a positive preg test in the other, grinning like an idiot. :rotfl:

Only 2.5 days left at work, not that I am counting but I really can't wait to finish now, I've really had enough of it. And this is a job that, ordinarily, I love.

I think you need to distance yourself from this anyway you can, 32B. Stress isn't helpful to the baby and it's a dangerous situation for you to be around now.

Good luck and keep us informed.

YAY :T Looking forward to your story and hearing about how Andrew is getting on.

Gymfiend - longer hair would be more practical I would think - you can at least scrape it back when you haven't got time to style it. It's a chin length bob - same as before (It has pixie short this time last year) just shaped and thinned.

32B - don't take this the wrong way but it sounds like your sister needs to be sectioned so she can get the help she needs. I'm surprised the so called professionals are taking so long to see her.
Really hope she gets the help she needs soon. I agree with Bear - try to distance yourself from it. The stress won't do u any good.

Just had a HUGE curry with loads of spicy poppadoms - yum!!
Oh and 3rd cup of RLT!!

Harley - 2.5 days will fly!!!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
  • Evening ladies!

Just had a really yummy meal cooked by hubby which is something of a miracle. It was so good not to have to cook and tomorrow night will be subs as I have a mystery shop!

Happy 37 weeks to the September 22 crew. 31 weeks for me which is scary enough. Only 12 more days at work, only 10 of those in my store. Got my NCT membership pack through today so will hopefully have lots of babies and bump meets to go to soon!
