Hey ladies - I planned to wear my tankini top for labouring in but ended up getting my epidural before I remembered to change so was stuck in my off-white maternity top. Since I'd got to the stage of hating that particular top I didn't mind so much, and it was ripped off me and replaced with a hospital gown before the section anyway.

Also, I bought a cropped long sleeved wrap in La Senza for breastfeeding in winter - it's purple with silver threads through it and was a pajama set for a fiver. I recommend checking their sale pages/clearance shops to see if there's something worth looking at.

  • Thank you! The last 3 weeks since being 'viable' seem to have flown by and it seems even closer if you say 13 weeks to go. Im feeling great at the minute, still getting heartburn, cramp and backache but keep reminding myself that this is just wht I have to go through to get a belly monkey in November :rotfl:She's definately been more active the last week or so, Ive got an anterior placenta so I think a lot of the movements are a bit muffled but Ive been able to watch my bump twitch for a few weeks now and her latest trick seems to be making my bump go rock hard if she doesnt like the way Ive stretched or bent over. Little madams making her feelings known from the start!

Now that all the main things are bought, maternity leaves sorted and Ive got my head around the fact Im having a baby this last few days Ive just been really excited. I cant wait for November now, OH says im getting a tad too giddy, lol.

Ooh yes my bump goes really hard too and feels very very low sometimes. I had a low lying placenta at my 20 wk scan so have to get it checked that its fingers crossed moved up at I think 36 wks. Ive got 8 weeks left at work now and one of those we are off on holiday, well a short break down to looe and the rest of the hol at home. Cant wait!! Haha at your OH saying your getting too giddy :D

All the cheapie ones I can find look like grannie nighties and I don't wanna spend loads on a labour nightie!

I just pinch an old shirt/t-shirt of dh's for the actual labour... just a thought :o

Better get back to sifting through all the "stuff"

    Catch you all later x

Hello Jha :hello: Hows your peter rabbit nursery coming along? I saw that babygrow the other week, its soo cute. Ive bought belly monkey this one http://direct.asda.com/george/baby-clothes/unisex/printed-snugglesuit/GEM16108,default,pd.html I thought £6 seemed a bargain for a pram suit.

Boo my parents used to live in Looe, its such a beautiful place. I was gutted when they sold up and moved but luckily they went to france so now we get to go there on hols instead :D Ive got 11 weeks left in work but 8 of those are 4 day weeks now to use my hols up, my ML is due to start the sunday before im due.

AAArgg need to stay of off shopping sites or i'm going to be bankrupt by xmas:rolleyes:
everything is so lovely and cute. need to focus. have amended my nappy list to include a couple of pre folds for OH so he can't complain about folding them along with some boosters for nights just in case.

Had a funny moment with the dog he kept bumping the couch cushion with his nose making strange noises and i couldn't figure out what he was up too. The doll i had been using as the baby was falling and he was trying to bump it back onto the couch lol i couldn't see it because one of the kids had put their jacket on top of it. i think the training may be working.

32b you can cut up a flecce blanket to make boosters. Very mse as you'll get quite a few out of a £2 fleece from ikea or primark and apparantly they work really well as it wicks the moisture away from babies skin.

Sugar, I bought that wrap set for my friend's Christmas last year and it is gorgeous. However, after it arrived, I found out it was hand wash only, so I ended up taking it back and getting her something else. Just figured that I personally would not want PJs that I couldn't chuck in the washing machine. They are really lovely though. In fact, I have a credit note for La Senza because I took them back too late!

CB - I agree about an old t-shirt, however my OH doesn't have any big enough to go over my boobs and bump properly!

Good idea. In fact i have a fleece blanket of DD's i could use. Could go nuts and dye old towels too. They would be great as wipes/boosters. Need to get my MSE head on :rotfl:
