Where does the time go?
  • Hi Xmas, cool that you're painting the room. DH has recently done our nursery and it looks so nice, only an offwhite colour but nice for a change :) We've also just been touching up the magnolia round the house (most of our house is still magnolia from when we bought it and Im soooo bored of it now!!). Feel better for doing something constructive but even more tired now!! So Ive rewarded myself with a cuppa and a cadbury mini roll :) and now gonna ring me mum for a chat. Good times :)

I promise Glam Room is down stairs so paint can be slid into the room it has french windows so can be ventilated and i have an extension pole for the roller. Plus DD can do all the nigly corner bits with a brush whilst i hold the ladder :-)

Beenie dont you have a group of friends who would help you out with the painting. We did this with the old house a crate of beer and bbq it was done in no time. Just make sure they paint before they drink :-)

No not really, i've gradullay lost touch with my 'group' of mates since i left the hotel 2 years ago, not seen any of them for ages. Quite sad really :o

It makes me think about getting ex back on scene though, bit torn between head and heart at the mo, head says no, current decor says yes, heart says yes :rotfl:

Beenie only you know if he is worth a second chance chick. Not knowing the full details of what happened just what i read on here i wouldnt like to comment. Maybe for the sake of the baby you two could end up on decent terms though and he would help you out. I know now that all the bitterness has gone between my ex and me i can call him for help any time he knows i wont take the preverbial and be calling him every 5 mins and if it benefits the kids he will do it :-)

Heya ladies thought I'd pop by and let you know how I'm getting on :D

Well had 12 week scan on Wednesday and lil bean is looking so cute, ad not really lil or bean like anymore hehe. Came away with some cute pics, and booked in for a private 18 week scan to find out if we are expecting pink or blue before hiting the baby show in October (Health insurance paying for scan and in laws paying for baby show yeay!). Our 22 week scan is scheduled for very end of october. Have had awful backache and headaches that come and go, according to MW PG can trigger miagraines if you have suffered with them before so suspect it could be that, and have been refered for Physio for the back issue. To top that found out have to have Anti D injections as I'm RhD- and Im a Beta Thalassemia carrier Joy! The first isnt really an issue but the second requires OH to have a blood test to see if he also has any heamaglobin disorders, fingers crossed for bubs healths sake he doesnt..eek! I'm also required to have another bllod test to see if I require iron tablets, but am !!!!!!ed if I can get thru to hospital to book an appt. grr! Being positive though only one in every 1000 people cary the gene so hope were not unlucky. Other than that all is really well and have had no other PG symptoms except for extreme tiredness and even thats improved alot in the past 2 weeks.

Went out with In laws last week and ordered all the major baby stuff (pushchair, carseat etc) on the Baby Plan Scheme at work, took advantage of the extra discount they are running till 31st Aug and saved a bucket load :D

Fattyboboo - havent had any mention of a bounty pack either. Will have to ask about the at my 16 week appt.

Glam - eek for bag packing, I hate the thought of it and have got ages yet. I always pack waaaay too much so think Ill be taking your approach and leaving some stuff in the car too. Have already bought a bag tho hehe.

Beanie - would hate to have to decorate, bonus of being in rented accomodation they do it for us. Altho they were supposed to be doing it this summer and seem to have forgotten so cant see it getting done for ages now. Only have a one bed house tho so no baby room :( altho I have some Humphreys Corner stickers to brighten up there lil corner.
