  • hey storm thats great I think!, like you I would still be a bit apprehensive.
not heard from surveyor yet, but the buyers solicitor has actually requested the money so maybe, be ok for nov or maybe dec!!!!!!!!,
still don't know if to remarket or not, as others in chain may get worried and then the whole chain will definately collapse.
I seem to be attracting complications in every thing I do, I wouldn't be as stressed if it wasn't for the fact we are moving 276miles away!

sweetpea, I really hope you get another buyer quickly, that is straightforward!!!!

    ES.........
Thats great that your solicitor is being proactive and requesting funds. That is how mine eventually got a given date (before second survey remember!)

You are moving a loooooooooooong way!!! Are you coming up North hun?? I'll buy you a celebratory drink if you get here by Xmas!!!

GOOD LUCK............. keep us updated! XX
  • Hi there storm, yes we are moving north, to yorkshire, where are you then?
if the buyers solicitors were as good as ours then I think things could have been sorted a bit quicker, they have to be careful for their clients sake, but theres sometimes a risk in being too cautious, cos things then never get sorted. I hope we get a phone call about survey today, just wanna get it over with!
  • Hiya Storm and ES

Congrats on exchanging! Ashame about funding though- it's only 13th how have they already run out?! They really are hard work! The paint pod is not too bad as a majority of it self cleans and then I just give it a wipe with a very wet cloth!

ES can't believe you still waiting for survey! I think they need a butt kicking so they get into gear- I'll keep everything crossed for you.

Any news girls? ave you decided to remarket or are you hanging in there? Good luck!
  • Hi Storm
Starting with 1st viewing tomorrow so see how it goes my estate agents seems quite positive about the remarketing so have to keep my fingers crossed. Good luck with your move good hear some good news!
Good luck expert hope all goes well.
  • Hi all,
Survey was fine surveyor said that it was worth the money they paying for it, so he said there should be no problems, and was sending result electronically, so they should have got it yesterday afternoon!
In the mean time first in chain says they have had enough and gonna look for rented accomodation, so second in chain put their house back on market!
If a miracle happens and we get a quick exchange now it should be fine, but I just can't see that happening.
Hope all goes well with viewings sweetpea.
Storm we are moving to York,( I hope!!), I know skipton been there a few times as I used to live in Harrogate. I am a southerner but I love Yorkshire, and have been wanting to go back for 19yrs now.
Are you just outside of Yorkshire then in Lancashire, Ive got a
friend who comes from Barnoldswick, and one of my best friends is from Harrogate, but I also met her down here in Sussex.

proving that you dont own any other properties is done by your solicitor contacting the land registry and council of mortgage lenders and will be a conditiion on your mortgage offer and is not a stalling tactic its a standard conveyanicing request
