Beacon Mortgage Advice! Help!

Conrad, my buyers are using beacon not me, so why do beacon need to know, where I am going and what solicitor I am using for my purchase, I don't even need a mortgage n e way!

Hi hon.......... have you heard anything regarding your survey eval? I had a phone call today to book the surveyors appointment here for thursday afternoon.

I hope they get back to Beacon quickly as the lady from the one I am supposedly buying has been on the phone today saying that if we have not completed by fri 23rd - she is pulling out and taking the house off the market :mad:

Its so annoying, that it is taking my buyers so long with this. .................. 13 weeks and counting so far........ :-(

Sorry......... but when the surveyor comes on thursday and (hopefully) everything is okay - does anyone know how long it will take for Beacon to then release the funds for exchange??

Everything is in place, as we should have exchanged last friday. X

Yes its very frustrating indeed, we are at the point of just pulling everything, we cant take the waiting ,all that money down the drain for nothing :-(

Think its the end of the road for me, been told that the house we want is going back on the market today :-( we're in bits :-( If it goes to someone else, all this waiting and anxiety and money on valuation etc has been a total waste of time :-(

At the end of the day, if your solicitor can pull things together to get a completion date soon or enough to exchange on then you might still get there. The timescales do tend to sometimes mean that Beacon cases end up being a bit touch and go, but if you can get to exchange they could still run with you as the bird in the hand.

Well, since I last posted yesterday to say that Beacon are doing second valuation on this tomorrow, I've had a phone call from my solicitor.....

She said "heard from buyers solicitor, Beacon have been in touch and said if we exchange on fri - we can complete on monday 2nd Nov, as our buyers are next in the queue for Novembers funding!"..........

I am taking this with a pinch of salt, as we havent even had the second survey yet - so how can Beacon give us an estimated completion? Unless, it is as I suspected all along that the second survey was just indeed a delaying tactic to drag things out and as such its not even going to mean anything?!

I'll let you know if we exchange on fri.......... watch this space!

(BTW........ the biggest obstacle now, is that the one I am buying...... she wants to pull out as she says 2nd November is too long to wait!!! So........ I may yet end up in bloody rented or something if she decides not to sell!) :mad:
