  • Hiya Aimzrabbit and Needamortgage

I didn't have to have audit valuation- was told by broker that they happen few and far between. I'm glad as that would have been another delay!

Thanks NAM its been ongoing since end of June beginning of July time!

Will keep fingers crossed for you.;)

    Honeymonster.............. Congratulations!! :T

Thats the first bit of good news i've read about Beacon in 3 months!!! Whhoooooooooooo!! I hope it all goes smoothly for you. Keep us informed that the date stays fixed!

    NAM ............

Thanks for your reply - I can totally understand how you are feeling when you havent even received your mortgage offer yet. I know my buyers received their offer in principle on 3rd July, the survey was carried out on the 21st July here and they received their formal offer on 26th september! It was a long stressful wait.......... but hopefully, things are moving a bit quicker now and you wont be waiting long. Fingers crossed for you and good luck.

    Aimzrabbit..........

How's things? Have you heard anything regarding your eval? I've been sat by the phone all day and heard nothing, even my broker has been onto my buyers broker! My solicitor seems to think they may even do a drive by valuation?? Have you ever heard of this, or will they definitely want to come in?
My solicitor also said that my buyers mortgage offer from Beacon expires on the 12th November (They only hold it for 4 months)....... and if it isnt completed by then, they will have to reapply from scratch all over again................:mad:
I have actually put mine back on the market today....... (not informed my buyers yet - I darent), but although it means I will probably lose the house I want, I still need to move for medical reasons, so if another buyer comes along, ill rip their hand off!
However, if Beacon get their skates on, I will still hopefully sell it to my present buyers.

I hope you hear something soon, for your son's sake............... Good luck X
  • Thanks Storm... will keep you posted, but hopefully all will go smoothly now- touch wood!

  • Hi sillysue, I know its difficult, our buyers have been asked loads of questions some downright silly and not at all relevant: but at least you have got a mortgage offer. There are loads of people who can't even apply for one as they have no chance, so grit your teeth and just answer their questions, it will be sorted at some point!

Beacon do not ask 'irrelevant' questions. They may not appear to be relevant to a layperson, but commercial organisations have a reason for every question - and they can't just make assumptions.

The worldwide money markets have ceased up and we were on the brink of complete financial meltdown, but still people dont seem to get it. We were literally hours from total meltdonw last year, meaning all wealth and money could have become worthless over night.

Many lenders owe trillions in bad debt, and for many the figure increases each day.

RBS in the final days did'nt even know if it would make it through each day and be able to pay staff.

Honestly people, I know it's frustrating but please use your grey matter and stop being so irrational.
