Morning all
Sunny here today, 2 loads of washing on the line & one in the machine & 1 more to go in, DS bought his washing over. DW is nearly finished, Hubby's had cooked breakfast & is now at work, fish have been fed & the budgie is chirping merrily, steak & kidney in the slow cooker, stuffed marrow in the remolska & chicken breasts are marinading in jerk seasoning. I'm having a cuppa & 5 mins on here then I must get on again.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Have made some soup with all the leftover veg in fridge plus stock from cooking gammon the other day - it was all cooking away before I sat down to my breakfast, so feeling smug! (How sad is that??)
Need to make some 3 fruit marmalade as DH has just polished off the last of the seville orange lot I made in January '08. Just one batch I think - 9lbs should last him until next January, surely?
Off to Norfolk on Sunday, so need to sort washing & ironing and think about packing.
Halight hope Twin1 gets sorted quickly, it's miserable when tinies aren't well as they can't tell us what's wrong with them.
N9eav - I wish I could come to your BBQ - sounds a real feast.
Mioliere - your new home sounds wonderful!
Hope you all have a good day.Resolution:

It certainly helps, if you like the outdoorsy type:D Mind you not having seen each other for 10 days is a pretty good aphrodisiac:whistle::o:DThriftlady - does that mean that woodsmoke is an aphrodisiac?!
Well, I've made my crab apple jelly -8 jars and boy does it look gorgeous, really clear and a glorious colour. Not sure how firm it is going to be, I gave up after 15 mins boiling. I'm hoping it will firm up a bit once cool.

Morning all-going a little bit overcast now-hope it stays fine so the washing will dry,got lots done yesterday.Little niece helped to put it on the line,so parts were still a bit damp, but she enjoyed herself.I had a disaster with my Panny yesterday, only put half the flour in-it was a 50-50 wholemeal/white,and although it smelt good baking,I knew as sooon as I opened it that something had gone wrong, then I saw the other half of flour still sat in the scales,so I had to throw out the 'loaf'
.Trying again now,lol.
We are out for tea tonight,so DSons will finish off the rest of the meatballs I made yesterday,we all enjoyed them-I did them with Morroccan spices and tomato sauce(gravy for DS2 due to tomato allergy)They can put them in to a pitta, they usually like a quick tea on Fridays as they go out to the pub.
PP-hope you manage to get out and enjoy your meal.
Halight- Hope the twins get better quick,
Hugs to anyone under the weather, have a good weekend all.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
V Quick one as off for a scan!
Halight - hope Twin feels better soon.
Very jealous of the BBQ's going on - all our friends seem to be off on hols at the mo', and our garden is still in a mess, so no chance of one here, even if the weather does pick up again for the w/e.
Quick shop yesterday - didn't finish as I felt really ill and faint in ASDA and had to leave ASAP! Think it was lack of food/sugar, as felt better after sitting in car eating jelly-babies and drinking a bottle of water! Must remember to eat little & often for the baby! Still - saved me money I suppose as we'll have to make do with what I managed to grab!!!!! DSK's will be disappointed, as didn't get to the creal or the 'treats' - guess I will have to do some baking to make up for it!
Hope all have a good day!
