You need to phone sky to initialise the card to the box ring them on 08000468857 for free.

I cancelled my Sky subscription a few weeks ago (was hoping to be offered a free Sky+ box, but no joy). I received a new card a few days ago but am apprehensive of inserting it, in case I receive no channels at all. Can anyone advise if this is the case or will I still be able to receive the free channels?

    Many thanks.
I've answered my own question - I still get the same free channels
