I have already donated on-line, but when I was tidying up today, I found a lottery ticket with a £10 win on it that my ex forgot to claim in September. I'm going to cash it in tomorrow and make another donation.
I know it's been said before, but don't forget the Gift Aid.0 -
You can make a donation by credit card to the major charities without the credit card companies charging a fee to the charities.
But if you have a card that does cashback or a long interest free period it'll mean that you can make some more money out of the credit card company that you can further donate to the appeal.0 -

After I first got into MSE I decided it would be an idea to write me a website - a shopping portal- so that each time me and my family shopped online, we'd get something back through the affiliate links we'd placed there, and make beer money. I guess we probably made 70 quid last year tops, good idea but that beer money has now been donated.
Anyway, the sites still live at http://www.sh0pz.com and I'm giving every penny generated during 2005 to the DEC appeal.
As an example, if you sign up for the Nation Lottery via the clickthru, this makes £3. Buy a mobile phone, it might make £30. It isn't the prettiest site but if you were going to shop online anyway, the minimum referral commision is around 5% of an order some affiliate partners much more generous, all given to the Tsunami appeal.0 -
Great idea. Have passed the link on to my firends.Whoever said everything was possible obviously hasn't tried slamming a revolving door
