Ian you have obviously forgotten about that stag-do in Edinburgh! it doesn't suprise me though - you were steaming!
You lost your half of the property in a poker game - your brother got the house and I got your car but then I sold it back to you so I could have some more lap-dances. What a weekend!0 -

Even more risky to landlords with no mortgage, tenants have copies of signatures from the tenancy agreement and could easily use them to transfer property into their name.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. the police were no help though, werent interested basically0 -
Thats good news, but plain terrible that they aren't interested. Especially as for some, a property is part of a pension plot.0

Does OP live in the house? If so just sit tight and refuse to move out if brother in law tries to sell it.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
I find this all very hard to believe. I've heard of shoplifting, but come on . . . if you were going to choose something to steal, the last thing you'd choose is a bloody house.
Imagine how big the getaway car is going to have to be.
You might want to read this thread - from the other side of this sort of transaction:http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2211787If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
On my other PC I have a handy link (for use here) which tells the story of how a landlord's tenant signed over the rented house to himself .... so anything's possible.I find this all very hard to believe. It might not need to be too big .... after all, we do have the smallest houses in the world.Imagine how big the getaway car is going to have to be.0
