Sorry to hear about the ex-texting, try to ignore it xo

I like buying basics - as daisybella says, they can be used to build a huge number of outfits! :j I sometimes find it hard to get really good basics e.g. I have been searching forever for a decent BF cardi but can I find one? Not yet! If I could I would have about 7 new outfits instantly. I love pretty patterned stuff too, so I need the basics to go with them!

p.s. where is Grease on and why am I not watching it???

I need to go basics shopping I need more plain tops I have too many patterned things, plus need need need a pair of plain black pumps I have so many pumps but no black ones except these ones Ive had for ages that are horrible and school ish!

Im watching Glee reruns- I a BIG Glee fan :p

ETA I got my boyfriend cardi from Tu @ Sainsburys they had some nice ones in.

Tara- boyfriend cardis, I've had great success with peacocks, new look and primark in the past. Oh and matalan!
  • Thank you Tara :)

I have not got into the boyfriend cardi thing, if I wear baggy clothes I feel pregnant!! Plus my coat is a jacket so I feel that the woolies have to be shorter.

Oh, can I wear shorter tops with skinny jeans? Or is it a crime? Obviously I wouldn't show my bum with leggings on but are skinnies the same??

Yeah, I never match my nails to my outfit either, more my mood. I wish I could afford better nail varnishes right now, the China Glaze looks fabulous...

I don't know where my Mum got my christmas present from and she probably paid full price
but that was my first china glaze and I got hooked
    (between that and OPI!)

I found a seller based in the USA where I can get one including shipping for about £5, with all the latest release colours,
as well as O.P.I. and other brands. I'm being really good and not ordering at the moment, well, I've ordered one lately but that's a mother's day present for my Mum
but all this is talk of it is weakening my resolve ;)

Rainbow- shorter tops with skinny jeans aren't a problem!
  • Tara - it was on e4 earlier, finished now tho

Primark is great for boyf cardis, I bought 4 last year and they are still going stong

IMO, depends on your figure. :)

re matching nails....I used too, in fact went through a phase where had to try hard not to be too matchymatchy for words. Have been thrilled this weekend as with two outfits have reworked similar palettes..different jumpers/jewelery/scarves. If I'd worn nail varnish I could have made i cohesive for the whole weekend. In A-level year I remember making time to re do nails multiple times a week to match very different daily outfits....later I just didn't have time for that...now I probably could make time, but.....don't. :o

Thanks for all the BF cardi recommendations, will get onto it and report back. I saw the ones in Primark last year but by the time I got around to going again (a whole 2 days later) they only had size 18s left and they never came back into stock. :(

    Boo to Grease being over!

Re short tops and skinnies - why not? :D

Oh thank god, I couldn't be doing with painting my nails over and over again, the waiting for them to dry makes me jittery! You can't do anything.

Oh well, I will carry on with the jeans and shorter tops then, I'm not ashamed of my behind, and I wear them with flat suede ankle boots, not over the knee PVC heels so not, you know, trying to show it all off, IYSWIM. :rotfl:

if they were the ones with with the shell button detail (the ones I'm always wearing on my blog) then they are back in stock, saw them on friday, £11 each I think
