I'm loving that not only can we visualise what each of us are wearing but we know how we smell, too!

No perfume for me today but a rather wonderful Alexander McQueen "Kingdom" body lotion I snaffled at a bootsale the other day.

    Glad you liked my mantra.

They do perfume? I love their products they are from the same company who make Bliss products;)Do they sell the perfume in Boots?Soap n Glory and their lipglosses are excellent:)

They do now! Yup, on sale in Boots, only £15 and it lasts really well and smells bee-yoo-tiful. And the bottle is rather stylish too. Can you tell I love it? :rotfl: Mind you, I love all their stuff - lip glosses, Flake Away, Righteous Butter, it's all fab. I even manage to overlook the pinkness of the packaging (I really don't like pink).

piratefairy - you sound beautifully accessorised today, as always :T

Well most of us can visualise what we think people are wearing but it is unlikely that we will be particularly accurate. I saw research some time ago that said aprox one third of people dont visualise.
Because of the vay the brain works it filters the 2 billion bits of information a second to about 7 +/- 2. This means that when we filter the information we will apply different filters. What you see as turquoise I may see as blue and someone else may see as green. many other bits such as face colour or colour of eyes etc we will tend to fill in for ourselves with no knowledge of how right or wrong we are.
About one third of us will have vision as our most dominant sense (that includes me) and our right brain may sometimes go into overdrive creating things that simply are not there but at the same time thinking the vision is accurate.
As for smell. perfumes tend to change from person to person due mainly I believe to change in the chemicals on our skin so no we dont know how you smell
Who I am is not important. What I do is.

You're quite right, Bounder, we all see and perceive things differently, that's what in my humble opinion makes the human race fascinating. The colours and smells we love as individuals make us so gloriously diverse.

Nothing whatsoever to do with fashion but would you go along with this train of thought? http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/wacky/the-right-brain-vs-left-brain/story-e6frev20-1111114577583

    I'm definately a right-brained person.

Yes I agree with you. The mind is very powerful and great fun and does make people diverse. I too have a fair right brain but I also am very logical however it is right brain that gets me into trouble. because i am so visual when people write things on here i conjour up all sorts of visions which are mainly humorous so for instance if someone says something with black leggings I think shaun the sheep in different colours or in say your case with all your bangles and things I have this vision of you with a crystal ball. Im not being nasty that is the way it works. Other people make other associations. I know from guessing what posters look like from their posts and then meeting or speaking to them I frequently get it wrong.
There are two threads on the arms. One for people looking rough and one for people looking good. Correct me if I am wrong but I havent seen any of you fashionistas brave enough to post down there.

As for your link I first saw it turning clockwise but without any concious input from me it started turning anti clockwise and then went back again. It seemed to chane every few seconds so may be Im a rare bloke that can use both brains at the same time. I did fancy her as well:rotfl:

Is that because you see us all as slightly woolly-minded sheep, blindly following fashion?! ;):p:D

That's an interesting link, Goanmad. I saw her going clockwise first (and the description fits!) but then refocused and saw her going the other way. I guess the first one counts though!

I'm quite happy for you to continue to visualise a gypsy when you read my posts, if I start posting pics of myself on the internet BF will think I've joined a dating site.

No offence to you but with your cheeky sense of humour I picture a cross between Chris Moyles and Jeremy Clarkson. I'd hate my perception to be spoiled and you turn out to be the dead spit of Ian Watkins from the Lostprophets.
