Morning (just about), gang!
The West Midlands must have it's own microclimate as it's lovely, dry and warm here, and long may it stay that way, too.
Just in from Aquasize and preparing for an afternoon of eBaying after lunch. Our eldest moggy, 18 year old Lucy, is having a big op at the vet as I type, poor old thing needs most of her teeth pulling out but they reckon she's a tough old bird.
Today's outfit:
Puple assymmetic tee shirt dress (Bay £6)
TopShop Baxter grey wash skinnies (Car boot £1)
Hand-dyed purple knee length vintage high heeled leather boots (they were a charity shop buy many years ago and love 'em as they actually fit my skinny legs really well)
Kate Moss at TopShop khaki silk waistcoat, laces up at the front with turrett-shaped hem and ethnic braiding (£2.43 eBay)
Lots of silver bangles and tribal rings (India)
Huge multicoloured chandelier earrings (Accessorize - gift from a friend)
Leather holdall with paisley printed silk inserts (25p car boot)
Claireac - that hairstyle is lovely - undone and fuss-free, gorgeous.
Have a happy tuesday, guys xx
I hope Lucy is ok, it's always worrying when they need something done.
Thank you for your comment on the hairstyle. My sister in law does my hair and is having a weeks holiday, so have to wait .........0 -
Can you dye it black again?? Or add applique?
LostinRates - I was gonna make the same suggestion as Claire. Dylon always works for me or some strategically placed applique, buttons or braiding if all else fails.
Thanks for the words of kindness, Claire, the other two cats are really anxious wondering where their great auntie is! Shame you've gotta wait on your SiL to get your hair done...0 -
goanmad- my kitty has had several big ops over the past two years and he's around the same age as yours,
it's so nerve wracking isn't it?! I will be thinking of you...0 -
Hello girlies :j
Well, I'm another one still clinging on to summer here. Dislike getting wrapped up for winter with a passion......defo born in the wrong country, i reckon....anyway, nip in the air, but lovely and bright here today so summer clothes still working layered up!
Faded M&S jeans (ancient) , white linen and broderie anglais top (Per Una but £10 from the seconds shop), fitted round the boobs and skimming the tum so flattering and comfy! Long white fine-knit cardi and toe posts! DD's bright enamel and dull gold coloured bangles.
Large brown tote with fringing which brought back from Italy for DD. She says she loves it , but she hasn't used it yet, so I'm not so sure if she really does!Don't mind really, cos it fills a gap in my wardrobe anyway!! oh and DKNY summer woman perfume , I think it's called...DD's again....I brought her up to know it's good to share!!!
My hair has just got to that stage, Claire, it's a very versatile length I'm finding. Have had it short for more years than any of you could possibly imagine:eek:, decided to grow it last year, very easy to manage, blasted upside with a blob of mousse and the ends scrunched with some Charles Worthington choppy texture paste for lovely soft texture and movement...love it....the "shorter hair/going lighter as you get older rules " are definitely made to be broken IMO!
Goanmad I'm sure your old girl will do well! We so miss our old Daisy, who was also 18 , but in a funny way, our other little cat, male but not very bright and a bit of a wussy wimp is in some ways coming into his own, out of the shadow of the clever, feisty, independent and very 'knowing' madam who was his big sister!
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone0 -

I had the same thing happen when we lost one of our cats, little girl came into her own once away from the bossy big bro;)I still miss him though and think/talk about him alot:oThank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
Hey hey everyone, hope you're all doing good, this fine (well grey) day. Today I'm making homemade pizzas and cookies for when friends come over (what do you all think of blackberry and dark chocolate chip cookies?) and working the casual look:
White embellished shoulder long line tee (Topshop via ebay £10)
Completely frayed, practically destroyed, and growing shorter by the minute denim mini (New Look £5)
I was wearing bangles but for some reason hate wearing jewellery when I'm inside, I think its because all the stuff I like is great big clunking pieces. Anyway have a good day everyone.Started Comping 25th September 2013.
October wins :j : Chapstick Goodie Bag, Mixed Case of Kumala Wine, £10 Two Seasons Gift Voucher, Elizabeth Shaw Chocolate bar, Schwarzkopf Colour Mask, Eco Soap Sample Bundle.
November wins: Cheerios 6 pack, MUA Primer0 -
Hi folks,
Well, it looks like summer is officially over so I'm back in my boots! Loving the sound of the latest outfits girls. Just having a break from work with a yummy warm cheese scone and a cup of tea.
Today I'm a bit 70s in:
grey batwing long jumper
straight leg jeans tucked into Frye distressed dark grey leather Carmen boots
also wearing vintage 70s enamelled choker (antique fair)0 -
Aww you girls are soooo sweet! The vet says Lucy's coming round after her op and we can go and fetch her at 6pm. Dunno what she's gonna be able to eat with hardly any teeth, probably the most expensive cat food available to man (or woman).
I'm liking the sound of blackberry and dark choc chip cookies, erichamster. Can you courier some over to the Midlands?
All this talk of hair's making me very self-conscious what with Glowgirl's new extensions, Bronnie's funky style and Claire's Liv Tyler-inspired chop. I loathe hairdressers with an absolute passion and my wild mop hasn't seen a pair of scissors for god knows how long. I'll slap some Ojon intensive conditioner on later (charity shop find - absolutely amazing product) and hope for the best.
Enjoy the rest of your day, friends!0 -

Flash had loads of his teeth removed and we were suprised at how much he was still able to eat
for the first couple of days we made sure everything was extra soft, but now he'll eat everything and anything :rotfl:
