    I've been Money Tipped!
Oh, I won't be far away. I post on the Debate house prices board (as a least one of you knows) so I'm quite robust, just I feel this is a different ''humour'' of board and that giving as good as one gets might not be so appropriate.

I just recognise this should be a positive thing, not a battle and when it feels otherwise I wonder how much I care to pursue it. I think all the threads have a place but this helps me more than a thread concentrating on, for example, my medical condition, or a thread talking about how I cope emotionally with that, something I prefer not to dwell on, I just...get on with life... though I also realise others feel differently and am glad there are threads with provide for people who need other support/outlet. I'm not upset or in poor humour, I just don't want to risk feeling as if I might be in the future, so I might just play it by ear.

    You gals are sweet!

You know, buddies, I have fab little images of you all in my head based on what you've posted and a healthy dose of my own imagination!

LIR, yours is one of my favourites with the housework in evening dress image you've mentioned before! I always enjoy your contributions which are frequently insightful and quirky.

I'm also one of those that no longer has the opportunity for a daily girly chat at work (all men!) or the school gate (long past!), so really appreciate this opportunity to post amongst such a varied, friendly and supportive group of virtual chums, although I find the unpleasantness on the board extremely wearing.

    Morning lovelies,

As ever I have been MIA for a while thanks to generally feeling unwell and being run off my feet trying to run my business  Busy busy busy, and at the same time, have been looking like a troll who lives under a bridge in my varied house wear ensembles :rotfl:

So today I am going to make an effort...of some sort :o

Charcoal skinny jeans (ASOS & lovely and stretchy so when the pregnant bloat kicks in I don't feel too much like a total fat lump)
Long white t-shirt (really old M&S Limited Collection)
Thick brown leather belt (bought yonks ago from TK Maxx)
Thick grey cable knit cardi - bought on eBay recently, it's lovely and baggy and warm perfect for miserable days :j
    Dark brown Ugg boots

Ok - bit better than recent days but I think the brown boots/belt may well not go with the grey cardi, might change before I go out into a black long line one instead

Seems I've missed some tension on the thread? Not sure what it is but to anyone thinking of leaving just ignore it - lots of people have nothing better to do than to try and cause trouble for others, it's a sad fact of life that we apparently can't live and let live especially when no harm is being done.

Have a lovely day all, hope the weather is brighter wherever you are :) xx
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j
  • Morning everyone:)

Thank you for this site Martin
The time for change has come
    Good luck for the future
  • Morning everyone!

Back in work today after my extended holiday, so today's outfit is:

    - Pink V neck jumper (Dorothy Perkins)
    - White shirt (M&S)
    - Brown tweed look wide leg trousers (H&M via sister)
    - Cream quilted ballet pumps with black patent toes (New Look)
    - Electric blue trench coat (New Look)
    - Brown handbag
    - Usual jewellery (silver initial necklace, silver and diamond ring, silver watch, silver and amber earrings, silver bracelet with black and white beads)

Perfume is Gwen Stefani L and nail polish is Nails Inc South Molton Street (soft pink).

In work til half five, then home to do my workout (I gave up on the gym because my membership offer expired, so I've bought a couple of cheap Davina McCall workout DVDs and am going to start doing those) and to have a good chill. And possibly put in for the Civil Service grad scheme.

Hope everyone's having a good day.

  • Juby- feel better soon :heart2:

Nothing exciting going on here today, just usual grocery shop, so simple outfit.

Black knitted long sleeve top- £5 Asda
Coral jersey slouchy dress thing- £6 New Look
Black tights with wet look detail- £2 Primark
    Studded boots- £24 la redoute

I hate trying to work out what to wear at this time of year, it's not warm enough for my summer clothes, but not cold enough to warrant full on winter woolies
  • thanks daisy bella, i hope im not coming down with something. im thinking its due to drinking more over the weekend (went out with hubby).

just nipped to adsa for milk etc and had a nosey in george and got a bargain.

its a long pink slashed cardie, sleeveless, pockets. i had to have it, i thought it would look lovely with these bleached jeans i have plus pink ballet pumps,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,£3 :T

also does anyone know where have any decent boots in?, more wintery (so no stillettos etc) good grips etc, a few of the shops have like a builder style boot in now but im not 100% keen on them or the yellowy colour.
  • Juby - depends how much you want to spend, but there is a lovely pair of boots in Aldo that I am absolutely coveting: http://www.aldoshoes.com/uk/women/boots/mid-boots/75714163-balduf/22

Or alternatively, Peacocks had a similar version: http://www.peacocks.co.uk/Womenswear/Footwear/Boots/BROWN_SQUARE_TOE_BIKER_BOOTS_-44700093.html#
