Afternoon all, I can remember the jeans in the 80's so don't think I would get away with them, I'm just waiting for reversible jumpers to make an appearance anyone remember them? I had white with pink and blue rabbits.

Been away from here for a few days as my Nana passed away in the early hours of tuesday so been a bit up and down but have decided for the funeral I will be wearing my IC harsh leopard print boots as she loved animal print and would appreciate it.

    Todays outfit

    RI skinny jeans
Primarni black and white srtriped top
    short Ultimate Uggs in chesnut

I went to a Jumble sale this morning and got a few bargains inc Dorothy Perkins polka dots top with puffy sleeves, tshirt type but saw one v similar in new look, whistles cardigan, armarni trousers, 1980's summer dress which might chop to tea dress length in white/ yellow, oasis belt and more (it was called a 'posh' jumble sale) spent about £5 in total though on about 10 items and even got Cath Kidston carrier bag to bring it all home in.

Lovely and sunny here too the only thing is the sun shows the dust up so have spent the reast of the morning scrubbing floors and hoovering behind furniture etc

lola, sorry to hear about your loss. xx

Okay, can anyone help me? Back in the late Nineties I used to wear a training outfit of long, very tight and compressive lycra leggings or maybe running tights, and a sort of leotard-type thing over the top - it was like a swimsuit and again was great for compression. It zipped up the front from just under the bust. Think I wore them til they fell apart (ex-compulsive exerciser) and then couldn't get more as the shop had shut down. Just wondering if you can still get similar? I know Karrimor do the leggings, but I'm sure mine were Adidas performance or some such. I could do with a similar outfit as I hate the feeling of clothing flapping around and getting tangled with my shoes or worse, with my weights.

    thanks Magpye

I used to wear th leggings/ leotards for dancing in the 80's/ 90's but don't think you can get anything like it now but I could be wrong - have you checked on ebay?

I've had a quick look, but can only see the dance type ones with long sleeves. Mine was sleeveless and racer back with seaming under the bust. eBay seems to be tracksuits as far as the eye can see: I just don't get on with tracksuits at all (too likely to be tripping over my hems every three seconds). Maybe I should look at skiwear? Base layer type stuff?

I think eBay's your best bet, Magpye.

Hope everyone's okay today. I've been to a couple of jumbles today and am just chilling out, catching up on blogs and this constantly ongoing thread and reading the papers.

Don't forget to post on this thread here if, like me, you're an obsessive second-hand buyer:

I've just updated my blog but today's outfit:
1960's green and mustard shift dress (Jumble sale)
    Black opaques
Yellow TopShop T-Bar heels (Chazza shop)
Vintage wool jacket in emerald green (Jumble sale)
Yellow enamel disc earrings (Bay liquidation sale)
Lucite beaded brooch, to hide a moth hole (Car Boot sale)
Green leather gloves (Car boot sale)
1950's framed rose print handbag (Car Boot)

I also wore a yellow balloon sleeved wool coat bought in TopShop's sale 3 years ago and still going strong.

Lola, sorry to hear about your Nan, I'm sure the IC shoes will be perfect. I always find black head to toe is so depressing and unneccessary at funerals. Your jumble haul sounds amazing x

I had a couple of reversible jumpers and padded jeans and I was such a skinny child but looked sooooo fat in them! Cruel I think, They should never make a come back!

Magpye - I can't imagine such an outfit - I get really panicy if I wear tight clothing, I can just about handle wearing my wetsuit as I know it's essential but can't see how you'd feel comfy.
What is it that you exercise in it - does it serve a purpose - Sorry I'm just horrified and curious at the same time!

oooh Goan that outfit sounds gorgeous:

I'm on the lookout for some more mustard and also nudes for spring.

Blog updated, it's a bit of a mish mash today!

Lola, I've just read about your nan, I'm so sorry. I lost mine last year, she's left a massive hole in my life although as she had Dementia we'd sort of "lost her" several years ago.

I think wearing leopard print would have been a tremendous tribute to her.
