pics up on blog and
I feel so blue about my wardrobe. I need some serious help in picking stuff out. I think that certain things look nice on other people and will suit me and I end up looking like a lump.
Blog pics are really starting to bring up body image issues

Pirate fairy..do you want to qualify? Have you applied for TCs?
My advice would be to start the attempt to secure a TC first, even if that means having a year of studying, maybe earning fulltime.
What sort of law would you want to go into?0 -
Oh Queen, I hate that you've been so down lately
Maybe posting your outfits laid out on your bed or something might be a better idea. Personally I think you always look great, but if your feeling bad about yourself then it's probably not a good idea to keep posting like you are

I like todays outfit.. (I love black with brown leather too).but I think you think you have more weight than you have...which can be unflattering. (which is not the end of the word, your figure can take it)
I think the day your wore the pink top you looked great, it was slimming with the long cardigan, but actually without, you good see you have a nice figure that needs, apart from warmth, no help from the cardi.0 -
Queen, I always think you look lovely. You may think you're boring but you look stunning.0

Queen, you are so far from looking like a "lump" in any of your outfits..
Why not go for a long trip into town, and a trying on session..pick out lots of things you wouldn't usually - to avoid the problem of just sticking to the same things..
Try them all on, to get a better idea of what else suits you - you'll prbably be suprised with some of the things you thought would look awful..take a striaght-talking friend with you, so that you can rely on them for honest opinions..
If you feel like your outfits are plain, why not set yourself a challenge for a week, to accessorisze with something exciting - i LOVE all the pearls in one of your profile pics on the blog..Make a big necklace, or a scarf a statement piece for each outfit, something different each day, so that it's a little step, but broadening your wardrobe horizons..
Just a couple of ideas..Although I personally think you have a great sense of style and work your outfits well..xx0 -
Thank you everyone for you kind comments.
Lost - I defo think my eyes are broken when it comes to seeing myself in reality (if that makes sense)
At least i spend most of the day feeling great in what I'm wearing, I look in the mirror and feel like a superstar (well not quite but you know what i mean) and then i see the pics and wonder what i was looking at this morning in the mirror.
You might be right daisy, maybe I need to lay off the pics for a while, until I've got my head together a bit. Or maybe it has been too much for me wearing things that I've had sitting in the wardrobe for ages rather than layering up in with jeans and thick jumpers or lots of layers*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -

Winter is a tough time for body image as it requires heavier layers and more bulked out outfits,
I always find no matter where my head is at, I feel better in summer about how I look in my clothes.0 -
lost, i'm not sure tbh..i don't think i want to do it, although everyone tries to steer me in that direction..i kinda do agree that the fact that i got a degree and now don't even do anything which uses it is a bit stupid..but i do love what i do at the moment..hmmmmmmmm..0
