I always find no matter where my head is at, I feel better in summer about how I look in my clothes.
Urgh, I like hiding in winter clothes.
Queen, fix, you eyes, get some glasses. If someone with a figure likes that feels unattractive things are unhealthier and sadder for we women in UK than I thought!0 -
totally agree daisy..i'm not a fan of boots really, but it's all i seem to wear recently, and think my legs look awful in them, esp. ugg style ones :S
the only good thing about winter wardrobes is the cute hat and glove opportunities IMO..and whilst i have some big chunky cardis that are great for warmth, they do nothing to flatter

PF - if you love what you do then keep doing it. Don't be pushed into doing something because you think you should or other people tell you that you should. I hate my degree, with a passion and wish I'd have chosen something for me rather than being pushed/nudged in this direction.
I actually love boots (as you can see because I have so many of them), and since we don't get too much of a summer I can wear them most of the year round.*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
I agree that the ugg types one are not the most flattering but they are defo the most comfy, ah wearing uggs feels like walking on a little cloud in heaven...well compared to evil but pretty heels*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150

actually, I think they can, but better over slim fit under layers than other looser ones..0 -
I think you're right, although i guess it's a big decision and there are pros and cons either way..
If i did go onto do the LPC, it would give me a chance to get away from the emotional **** here..New city, new start..TC isn't a problem, as I know a couple of partners in solicitors firms who would happily offer one with them, lost, so i'm lucky in that respect..
But, there's the issue of the actual work..Not sure what I'd want to practice, and the exams/coursework thing was something I was so glad to have escaped from when I finished uni!0 -
oh and i'd take my heels over uggs any day

do what you do know you love then!
Honestly, lots of people wan to use their law degrees and can't ATM, its been a terrible time for redundancies. I don't know what you do now, but its common that law can be applied to other industries too for another dimension.
By far the majority of people I know do not work in the exact subject of their first degree. DH read Archaeology and Anthropology, then music...yet is a solicitor...:rotfl:

Well, I've done it again - I've been on here and ebay all day and not got a thing done. I'm going to have to rush round now to make it look as though I've been busy before OH comes home.
I've actually bought a couple of things on ebay this week and it was exciting getting a parcel this morning so I may do it more often. When I had my personal shopper experience in Debenhams on Monday I tried a gorgeous Coast dress on, but it was £135 so now I'm scouring ebay for Coast dresses!0 -

TC is relevant, if you wouldn't want to work in areas covered by firms in which you can get a TC, IYSWIM. That's happened to a couple of our friends, now stuck working in areas they hate to keep their income.
TBH, the course work wasn't too heavy on LPC, but exams were stressful and required lots of revision0
