Blog updated.
Blue dress, brown cardigan, brown boots today. Brr it's cold. Will stick the fire on soon. FS, hope your boiler is fixed soon, ours is 20-something years old now and the fan keeps seizing and the engineer doesn't know if it will stay fixed, IYSWIM... £250 at 'mates rates' just to 'maybe' fix it..."All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.

I can't keep up today...apologies.
I went out, couldn't find anything I wanted to buy for DH
Bought a bangle at Accesorize
went to buy some boots I saw recently in a sale. Didn't buy them at the time because I was having a self indulgent ''My legs will never be thin again'' moment. After lots of thinking decided they might be, and as they are the most beautiful boots ever seen I went back fo them...unsurprisingly they were sold.

Oh well....best work on the legs till that moment strikes again....:)
I have no idea what to get DH. Its for a landmark in his career, so wanted to get him something for his office. Was going to get a decanter and glasses, but ...just didn't feel right...too...try hard...you know?
Maybe I should look for a good pen?
Any ideas?0 -
Dad's home but not feeling good so no walk today, not such a bad thing as the weather has turned and it looks like snow again.
Lost- hm, a decent pen sounds like a good idea
we usually get my Dad cufflinks or collar pins for promotions/big work achievements, but it kind of depends what DH does and what his style is like. 0 -
Thanks queenie, i've decided that i'm not going to let him get me down. If he wants help, I'll help him the best I can because I care about him (i know i prob shouldn't), and I may pop over to DFW to see if they have any tips over there..
But for the time being, I have a lot planned in my own life, and trying to help him is something I don't have time for if he doens't welcome it at the moment..
Got a busy weekend, have packing to do this eve, along with hopefully some sewing and baking..A bit of a relaxful night in
Then tomorrow I'm off up to Wales-House where the rest of the family are, to spend the day with them / pick up little sis and bring her back tomorrow eve, as everyone else is going to a concert Sunday eve so can't come back before..
Then little sis and I stay at the p[arents house, as Sunday is (Girlguiding) Thinking Day, so there's a huge event planned quite locally..I'm transporting some of the Guides there from my sister's unit (based in parents village, and the one my friend runs), and then meeting my own unit girls there..Phew.
So have to clear out car tghis eve for passengers, and then pack everythign I'll need for a couple of nights at the parents', then the stuff the guides will need Sunday, and work clothes for Monday as I'm staying with little sis Sunday night also, so that I can be there til she goes to school Mon, as the rest won't be back til MOn..Then Monday is straight from work to Guides..So I'll get back to mine to collapse MOnday night lol
(sorry for boring all with the weekend plan, but it helped me organise myself!)
Oh, and why is it that whenever I go to post parcels, someone else has paid by the time I return :S
Lost - A good pen would be useful, my grandparents got my dad a really nice fountain pen at Xmas, and he uses it at work all the time!0 -
DaisyB, you've got the right attitude, just ignore the nasty emails. Like they're just soooo perfect. You've got a great sense of style and you're absolutely beautiful. You will get better, they however will always have a nasty, ugly mind.
Tsabo, what an absolute sweetie he is! He is just adorable.
No dogs or puss cats here, but we do have a elderly grumpy cockatiel. She must be around 17 now. We did have an African grey parrot, who absolutely detested me unless I was giving him food, but adored my husband and would jump on his shoulder to hitch a ride to the sofa. He was a rubbish flyer, flew like a brick actually, so preferred others to transport him to where he wanted to be!
I'm really getting fed up with the snow now, we've had even more this morning. I'm well rugged up at the moment in big sloppy joe sweater, DKNY grey thick fleece gaucho style pants (my furry trousers as hubby calls them!) and lilac ancient Uggs, but need to change to go and do some shopping.Or maybe I'll just go like this!
I'm off out to the cinema tonight, then back home for some wine, choc and My Big Gypsy Wedding.0 -

He's a lawyer, but he doesn't wear a suit at work. Thirty, so not old (I hope). He's not English, and likes bright things, beautiful things. He loves cuff links, but has SO many, and we usually get them in Italy. He also likes kitch. I'm not sure kitch in his work environment, in significant amounts in anycase, is a great idea though!
He's got a new office, with a view....which apparently carries some kudos:D0 -
jaq, want to swap weather? there's mo snow here which is so annoying as i still have the borrowed sledge in the back, from last time's failed sledging attempt!

Hello everyone

My word you lot can gab
I've just come back from town on a rather successful shopping trip so feeling quite pleased with myself.
Popped into the charity shop and bought a lovely black and white floral summer skirt, white Jasper Conran 3/4 jeans, lovely H&M navy lace top and a pair of black cords.
Next went to New Look and got a lovely soft grey batwing jumper with hearts on it. Will try and post some pics later.
As far as pets go I'm beginning to think I live in a zoo. We have a black cat called Chloe, A tank of tropical fish, a hamster called Nibbles and two giant african land snails called Milly & Lily. The hamster and snails are my daughters. My daughters also have a gerbil each and a chicken each but they live at grannys house
Oh and whoever has the Cairn my mil breeds them and the girls always look forward to the puppies being born. We are expecting a litter soon.0
