Touche Eclat is my miracle product. Hope you find a shade that suits!
LIR - I love your phrase there, colours that make your heart sing. That's so, so true. Like our previous conversation about yellow! I adore it, it makes me so happy!
4 looks dark, 3 is just the wrong shade, might sample a 2.Thanks0 -

I am now definitely 100% on the wagon. If someone hadn't posted a link to a fake designer shoe site on MSN, I wouldn't have clicked on it. I wouldn't then have gone to the real site to compare the fakes with the real thing. I wouldn't then have clicked on stockists.....
No more shoes for the next 6 months. :rolleyes:0 -

I am quoting this for you in a sisterly kind of way, so you can't edit and delete it and say you never said it!!:rotfl:0 -
Evening! Well, today was very relaxed. Dark grey pinstriped bootleg elastane mix trousers (reduced to £4 in M&S sale - from £39!), Blue & white gingham scoop neck gathered top. Hair in white clip. Light blue crystal studs. Black Vans with blue laces. Usual ivory eyeshadow, black eyeliner and mascara. Red lippie, mix of dark red with pillarbox over the fullest part. Benefit B spot perfume.
Perfectly comfortable for meditation class, especially with the heat today.
By the way, Glowgirl, the best way of all to do the IKEA meatballs is to steam them - that way, all the icky fat drips out into the water - then you can pop them in a dry nonstick pan for crispy bits or in a casserole dish!
And if I were young and beautiful enough to still be palest blonde (with pale pale skin and green eyes), I would be looking at the blonde bombshell school of fashion - if I wore something dark and possibly a bit draining, I would intensify the makeup, particularly the lippy. If I wore something more colourful, I would go with a more natural-ish look.
If anyone considers that frosted mauve, peach, lemon yellow and mint green really suits them and makes them look healthy and wonderful, then they have cool colouring. Flowers in real life would be things like pale lilac, 1970s hydrangea in blue or pink, pampas grass pink, or Avons pale pink lipsticks of circa 1984 (now I'm showing my age!)
If they recoil at the thought of these colours, thinking that clothes and make up in those shades would make them look like a cadaver, then they have warm tones.
A warm toned person would look healthier in deeper reds and richer greens (like a holly tree), bright teal, custard - buttercup like yellows, deep royal purples (dark lilac trees, aubergines) blues from wedgwood - midnight, and probably would choose a gold/bronze/brown eyeshadow over a grey/silver/pale blue one instinctively.
Hope that's some help - I may not have been able to say what did suit my colouring at first, but I knew pretty well exactly what did not flatter me in the slightest, which helped me work it out.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Re lemon/pale yellow. There was a school fairly near mine where the summer dresses were lemon/pale yellow. Almost every girl at that school hated the colour, but weirdly it did seem to suit everyone. I remember girls at our school teasing them about the colour at sports matches at stuff, but while we all looked drained in the horrid school shade of bottley-forest green, they all looked summery and fresh and lovely: it was the colour that was considered ''naff'', certainly not the amount it suited people. The pale yellow seemed to suit every skind and hair colour, really it did.0 -
My senior school had a girls' PE uniform of poo brown pleated skirt and mustard yellow nylon polo shirt. That was definitely a cold, harsh colour, as we all looked half dead on the hockey pitch in the snow at 9am.... Our infant school had the mid green gingham (not bottle green or toothpaste green) and I think everyone except for the blonde girls looked fine.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
