Morning people!
Am currently sat in work, trying to keep warm (and awake). The system I really need to do my job has crashed (quelle surprise!) so...boredom is creeping in!
Couldn't be bothered choosing what to wear this morning so:
*White long sleeved top - Matalan (£5)
*White vest top (underneath) - Primark (£1.50)
*Dark indigo bootcut jeans - Asda (£9 - woo!)
*Black "Ugg-style" boots - Asda (£8)
*"Groovy Frog" socks - Primark (50p);)I am not a complete idiot - some parts are missing;)0 -
Morning all!
Got back from Istanbul yesterday - had most fun time, lots of things to see, lovely food and plenty of shopping! Although I should hasten to add that I didn't buy all that much as the Grand Bazaar scared me a bit, seeing as how you can't look at anything for more than two seconds before you're being persuaded to buy it and they don't understand the concept of 'browsing'.
Anyhoo, not at work today as I was supposed to be off tomorrow anyway and my lovely boss said I may as well have today off as well, so here's what I'm wearing:
- Blue wrap around three quarter sleeve jumper (Joe Browns)
- Cream scoop neck T shirt with print of a girl in a Chinese style dress holding an umbrella (Mavi, which is a bit like a Turkish version of Gap)
- Denim pencil skirt with silver military style buttons (New Look)
- Black tights (M&S)
Later will be adding my brown Rocket Dog boots if I go out.
That said though the plan for today is to sort out my unpacking and washing, apply to jobs and try to remain calm and not get stressed about stuff.

Definitely the start of Autumn here..Time for a holiday I think, will have a look at laet deals etc at lunch I think..
Anyway, today's work outfit (not the best choice as I've been moving desks and computers round all morning)..
Mushroom long-sleeved dress with red horse print, H&M yrs ago (£20ish I think)
Black leggings, from my large collection
Leopard print pumps, inspired by yday's thread
Bright red nails and lips
Red bow on Alice band, and various red bangles and pearly bead bracelets..
Am becoming quite a fan of loads of bracelets at the moment, having not really worn any for ages, the ones you get from Primark which have heaps of beaded ones in a bunch are fab, and I've been wearing loads at a time as my only costume jewellery recently..0 -

Sounds fab, but quite a trek from ShropshireThat said, I have a LOT of holiday entitlement left this year, was thinking of either a last minute deal, or a "staycation", inspired by GrammarGirl's week!! So will set to making a list of things I want to do / places to visit, and see how they pan out geographically..
Also, was after some help..Have been planning to invest in a bike for ages, in a green attempt to travel to work in a more eco-friendly way..The one I want is rather pricey, though, so will be waiting till Xmas for the parents to help me out. So that's sorted..However, I will be needing to invest in some pedal-friendly footwear (I'm thinking my usual footwear of Irregular Choice heels just won't cut it!!)..Any suggestions..0 -
Hi all. Going shopping with my mum in a bit, yay! It's overcast and grey here but not too cold, currently debating whether to take my mac with me. Anyway, here's today's:
Skinny jeans
Pink and green ditsy floral print chiffon blouse (Again! £4, Laura Ashley via eBay)
White vest
Brown cardi
Pink lace, chain and pearl headband with corsage (£8, Accessorize)
Green pumps with bows (£25, Topshop)
Beige mac (Maybe! £22, Primark)
Slouchy leather satchel bag (£120, Fossil)
Happy Thursday! Can't believe my week off is almost over!0 -

Oooh hello piratefairy, you should definitely go for the staycation! We've had such a fun, relaxing time. We're saving for the holiday of a lifetime next summer so we didn't want to spend lots of cash, but I think everyone needs a nice break from work. We've visited all sorts of places this week, and it's just nice to spend time together too. Do it!
As for bike footwear... I'm the least active person ever so not much help, but Primark sell fabric plimsolls for £2ish, sure they'd do. You can always carry your heels in your bag and change before anyone spots you! Although I quite like plimsolls, think they look cute.0
