Hello!
I've never posted on this thread before but I was wondering if you girls can help!
It's my H2B passing out parade from the Navy a week today and I need to come up with an outfit that's smart/casual (Dreaded combination!) not to mention warm as it's going to be outside. I was thinking jeans tucked into boots with some sort of top and coat or a leggings/boots/dress combo but I really have no idea! I've recently lost jsut over a stone so most of my clothes are either too big or still a bit to small so I am planning on buying a whole new outfit.
Any ideas?!
Actually, I think I'm going to buck the trend here, jeans are warmer than leggings, and a great gauge for weight loss.
I'd recommend the jeans tucked into boots, with a lovely coat....should find one in a sale...and a coordinating hat, scarf and gloves...classic outdoor understated chic...its meant to still be cold next week isn't it? 0 -
Ohh, good point on the warmth Lost, my Nan was telling me yesterday to pack on loads of layers as next week is meant to be another cold 'un.0

Yeah, its bitter today.
I also think understated chic is not a bad thing with any service related do....it reflects well on your partner...(see, I'm such a corporate wife now:o) .
Either option would work though.0 -
Thanks Caroline, will give those a try! I have some other ones that do not work at all!0

honey I too would go for a nice dark pair of jeans in boots.
I would go for a tunic or jumper dress for wearing with the jeans.
For outside I would go for a lovely wool long coat maybe in a vibrant red or purple.
With coordinating scarf and gloves and maybe a chic beret.
Maybe something like this

Oooh well done finding those so quickly, they are such lovely colours and price0 -
Hey..yes honey I think if you're a jeans wearer, a pair of dark coloured jeans tucked into some boots would look smart, with a couple of tops layered, and a big chunky scarf tucked into a bright jewel coloured wool coat.
And yes daisy I did want the cardi, I love it but the face was for the fact I spent money on clothes when I wasn't supposed to..
Have also spent my vouchers in wisteria lane, on a dress and some other bits and bobs which il put on the blog Monday I should think..0 -
well, I say you deserve the treat
*nods*
you've had a rough time lately and deserve something nice.
I'm intrigued as to what you spent your vouchers on
Ooh, I should be getting a new phone (freeeee) tomorrow/early next week, which is perfect timing as mine is giving up the ghost!0 -
I've just found six sets of underwear never worn, so i'm listing those on eBay, do you thin that's okay to do? Haha!0
-
totally okay! I've bought unworn (and sold unworn) undies on ebay before.0
