Oooh I hope all the little ones are OK, how scary that must be for them xx
PF - That was me with the Wham, so glad you got it, it's such a great colour isn't it?
DB - When you are better, I will come and get you and we'l go for a bite to eat. What do you say? xx
LIR - I think people tend to shy away from giving young children spicy food, I don't want to blow his mouth away but I want him to appreciate tasty food and he's already in training in the kitchen!
The curry was a bit of a disaster. Dylan gave us the toilet runaround and we ended up taking him 5 times. He did always manage to "produce" but he was doing it on purpose as some kind of attention seeking thing. He's just cottoned on that we never say no to the toilet so we were back and forth like mugs!
He did have a good try at all his food and pronouced it as tasty so I'm fairly pleased that he experienced something different even though it wasn't what I had hoped.
I've updated my blog with some old photos of me in hoodies and jeans, I used to live in the grey jumper and the light blue top. I thought they were flattering as they floated over my tummy. I'm so glad you girls here gave me a few pointers towards other alternatives. Love you all xx
  • If Vicki is going out with DB then so I am I!

Thanks for thoughts about my little niece. They should be taking her of the ventilator by tomorrow so that's a step in the right direction.

You most certainly would not, if I had anything to do with it - you'd be up on the table before you knew what had hit you... did I mention I make a really mean Flaming B52? ;)

  • phew it's taken me ages to catch up with everyones chat (replies to follow)

I've been doing ebay stuff all night, 10 of my items sold (out of 14) so I've been wrapping and invoicing and liting more stuff tonight, have started on the clothes, shoes and bags size 6 to 10 clothes and size 5 & 6 shoes is anyone is interested ;) still got loads to list. have taken over £60 but need to pay postage out of that so hopefully I'll end up with at least £40.

I was naughty today and bought some boots in new look that I'd had my eye on...I wasn't going to pay full price at £50 but at £18 I thought they were a bargain, I wanted black though but ended up wih grey cos no black in my size, so I'm going to try them on with a few things tomorrow and decide whether to keep them or return them. anyway I'm going to sleep after I paste these replies in, it's taken me over and hour to rad and reply to this thread and the no toiletres thread!!

Daisy: re Asda swallow earrings – I live 5 mins walk from Asda if you want some PM me and we can sort something out ;)

Step away from the shoes…(despite the fact that they are a little bit weird – or is it just me??)

Would look fab :) but I agree that maybe separates would be more versatile, but I think the look would work very well.

Noo get a pair that fit right and they hold it all in. I look better in leggings than jeans as it gives support to my tummy & Hips which is where i carry all my weight

maybe that's where I'm going wrong, I feel like a right lump in leggings..where would I find well fitting leggings though?

Hello Sadie! Welcome to the gang!

Love the cardi, MM. Be cute over a pretty dress as well as skinnies.

Tara - try and get hold of a copy of "Yeah, I Made It Mayself" by Eithne Farry. It's the same approach to dressmaking as I use, make it and don't worry if it's not perfect. There's some inspirational and easy ideas in there for converting charity shop stuff and retro fabrics. I went on to a workshop she ran at a festival in the summer.

Thanks for this tip...I might just have a look at that myself. I've got a sewing machine and can sew in a straight line but that's about it! I shamefully turn my trousers up with wonderweb
