we were told last week it was a poosibility but we knew it was defo going to happen as they were giving us exact dates etc. Its gutting but not the end of the world. The important bills are covered by hubbys wages so it just means no more spending on things we dont really need!:xmastree: :rudolf: :xmastree:0

ladyfalco, sorry to hear your bad news
hopefully a new bigger and better job will come along!
PF my little guilty secret is buying a trashy chicklit book everytime I do a tesco shop, naughty me
I really must join the library, is one of those things I keep meaning to do but never get round to doing.
Have got a day off next week, but have to stay home all day(annoying builders coming around to do snagging works on the house) so think I will use the time to properly go through my wardrobe and stick some things on ebay! How do people decide if things are worth ebaying or not?Expecting Baby No 1 - 20/06/14 - Team Yellow!0 -

moonbabe - re: ebaying, i tend to go thru my wardrobes and turf out anything i don't wear / like / want anymore..once i've decided i don't want it anymore, i'm happy to sell it on for whatever i can get for it, so i always try everything once, with a starting bid of 99p to avoid listing fees so if it doesn't sell iv not lost anything..i know this isn't a very entrepreneurial way of ebaying, but depending on brands etc, i'm sometimes pleasantly suprised at how much things go for, and then if it does sell, whatever i get for it is better than it staying in my wardrobe forevermore to be unworn for the rest of it's days..
granmadelighted - hi, and welcome
i would definitely say there is nothing wrong with charity shop stuff! as long as you feel confident and comfortable in it, who cares where anythign came from!?! maybe have a look round in the next few days and see if there's anything you can find to go with your nice red blouse? 0 -
ladyfalco: well, all the more need for MSE style to cheer you up and keep your confidence for job hunting. Have you got some interview clothes, or should you start a fund for them?
granmadelighted, charity shop clothes should be fine. No one cn tell how much you weigh by looking at you BTW
Right, fashion question of the day....
what sort of IDIOT drives for 40 minutes to the nearest M & S, spends another 40 minutes deciding which of the tights re the ones she wants...then,on getting home realises she's got the right tights....in the wrong colour....
yes, you guessed it, me.
I give up. Its going to be nude coloured legs, not barely black. Hideously unflattering of course, but I don't care any more....0 -
lost- I've kind of lost count of the number of times I do that kind of thing, your not alone!
pf- your ebay strategy is the same as mind, not the most money making, but for stuff that is otherwise cluttering my room, I figure as long as I dont lose on postage/fees, anything else is a bonus!
Feeling down all of a sudden, having been so motivated this morning. Not managed any studying, which is adding to my mood because I'm berating myself. Argh.

Moonbabae and ladyF, why don't you join me in my £50 books challenge? I have no idea how much I spend on books but I know it is more than that!0
