Alex- the Primark in Bristol is pretty great, well laid out so it is easy to see where everything is. It never used to be like that though, the old store (this one opened in September) was such a mess, I got heart palpitations just walking in the door and rarely, if ever bought anything because there was very little there.

loulou- fab boots! And I'm a recent fan of ELF too, loving their studio line under eye concealer and highlighter at the mo!

Oh I love the liverpool primark alex! i guess that's cos my closest one is Telford, which although recently revamped, is still a bit chavvy for my tastes..
  • I like Primark but I do worry about how clothes are produced so cheaply and get a "tsk tsk sweat shop" comment off my oh whenever I go there :(
  • Hey again guys :) Hope everyone is well!
I am having the afternoon off and slouching in a hoody, having just taken delivery of my bargain topshop dolphin boots http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=19551&storeId=12556&categoryId=175037&parent_category_rn=175013&productId=1387074&langId=-1

Got them from ebay for £40. Sorry about the long link! Been looking for some nice casual knee boots for ages and they had sold out in all the stores. Want them in tan too now!

I love the shimmering face whip, really boosts my complexion - which needs all the help it can get!

I'm being super geeky and studying this afternoon! Haha, I'm ahead of my self imposed timetable so feeling suitably smug. Just taking a tea break :D

  • I hope so! I think he probably does it also to make me buy less from there :D
  • I've been having a look at a few of your blogs and i love all your different styles. I'll definitely have a better look once i'm done with exams. New term's resolution to dress a bit better so i'm after ideas :P

My Joe Browns stuff came today and it's great... except one of the buttons fell off the owl dress. I'm umming & ahhing about whether to bother swapping it or not (it's also a little baggy so i might ask if i could have a size smaller too)

Sounds lovely though :) I don't know how you lot manage it, you all seem to turn up great things in Primark. Is it luck or persistence? The one in Liverpool is so big and is always so horrendously busy that I can rarely face it.

I'm only an occassional visitor to liverpool, I always go in primark when I'm there...but only early in the morning or very late in the evening, I can't stand it otherwise because there are so many people

  • Alex, when I was slim the best pair of jeans I've ever owned came from primark. I didn't like them in store and a friend convinced me, when we got home I liked them so much I determined to go back for more, but they were all sold out. The jeans only lasted one summer but they were outstandingly flattering, one of the best purchases I've ever made.

I either wear primark jeans (skinnies) or diesel jeans (all bought cheap or second hand of course) and very little in between.

I love the way primark skinnies fit me, but you are right they only last a few months, 6 at most before they need replacing, but at £8 I can't argue really.

I did have a pair of wide legged jeans from there about 2.5 years ago, I lived and died in them, I loved them. Then I lost weight and they were well worn and I had to give them up :( still searching for another pair. Now when I find something I really like I buy several of them, not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, I end up with lots of things the same but they are things I love so it kinda works
