    Afternoon folks!

It's absolutely freezing here - I think it's colder now the snow has gone if that's possible!

I've been sitting here with a face mask on, trying to use up the tube (see the no buying toiletries thread) but there's still another face-worth left, just been to put the chicken in for tea tonight and now I need to pop to Tesco for a few things.

I've had a pair of shorts (slightly above knee level) in my wardrobe, unworn, for a "couple" of years but never got round to wearing, so decided to give them an outing today. So today's outfit:

charcoal grey shorts (no idea, prob TK Maxx)
    black ribbed wool tights (JL)
    black ribbed jumper (H&M)
black CAT biker style boots (TK Maxx)
vintage bead necklace (shades of orange and brown, all different shapes), nicked from mum.

Will chuck on Barbour, 15 years old, couple of small holes, in need of waxing, lost the detachable hood, def not yummy-mummy style lol, and red & blue long Mulberry scarf (birthday present last year).
70s vintage suede tote bag with big flower on the front (charity shop £1)

LOL. I rushed out early on Friday morning for a 9.00am hair appointment, without thinking too much!

Had to go to a funeral later on and wasn't sure how long I'd be so thought I'd better get dressed for the funeral anyway. My only suitably-funereal black boots have a 3" spiky heel, so I pulled them on , got to town and looked around in horror as I 'realised' the only way to the hairdressers was across what was basically an ice rink . Embarrassed to say a sensibly-booted teenager offered me her arm, which I gratefully accepted!!:o However, on the way back, realised that spiky heels do actually make quite effective crampons!!

Sounds like me Christmas Eve, the one day I risked non sensible shoes and I fell big time :rotfl:

I normally wear a tea dress with tights and flat shoes/ankle boots when I go to the pub,
though having been so anti social lately, that is all but a distant memory :o

Hello everyone! Not happy today, we've had another 3 - 4 inches of snow and last time I looked it was still going. It's supposed to start going from about now though isn't it? I want to wear ballet pumps and pretty shoes and even the occasional heel! And less than 2 jumpers. Middle daughter (17, ASD) finally went back to school yesterday but didn't make it in today and they've closed school for the week grrrrr she's driving me nuts!

today I'm wearing boring stuff, just can't be bothered as all anyone ever sees is my coat
    Black flared jeans (ancient, Next)
deep magenta polo neck (New Look sale)
black v neck jumper (Next via CS)
    black/multi leopard scarf (Primark)
purple stone heart drop earrings (Buddhist shop in Bristol)
black knitted beret with gold thread (daughter's, Tesco)
    flaming wellies AGAIN

It is SO COLD! I am SO FED UP! I want to wear nice things without fear of hypothermia! I'm still doing my no jeans style challenge, so today I wore:

    Black pinafore dress
    Cream long sleeved tee
    Cream and sequin cardigan
    Cream tights
    Brown brogues
    Brown plaited belt
Chunky cream, gold and pink necklace
    Cream ring

I also had the leopard print faux fur I bought on eBay delivered today, and it's amazing! Can't wait to style it tomorrow. :)
