I don't watch any soaps or reality TV... except X Factor! It's the only one I've ever really been into (apart from America's Next Top Model and Project Catwalk - do they count?).

    Today's outfit is:

    Leopard print dress
    Black tights
    Black cardigan
    Brown leather belt
    Brown brogues
    Purple floral corsage headband
    Black cocktail ring
    Purple and gold vintage scarf
    Leather jacket
    Purple arm warmers for outside!

I'm so excited for this evening - a big gaggle of girls from work are going to see the new Twilight film! I adored the books and although the films aren't that great, the camaraderie is so much fun! We're going for tea first, then the film, then drinks after. Hooray!

Hi guys - I'm your secret stalker - I watch what you all wear each day with fascination! Odd or what.
You all (in my minds eye) look amazing and colourful and trendy!
It puts me to shame - I work in an office and have a serious (see boring) job and I tend to look very dull.
Perhaps I will take a leaf out of your books and buck up my ideas!

    For example - today:
Wide Leg long black pants - ASDA
Black Fitted V Neck Jumper - Charity Shop (Dorothy Perkins)
White Vest top - Factory Shop
Purple Tassled Heeled Shoes - Charity Shop (Accessorize)
    Purple Handbag - Debenhams
    - I'm trying to add a bit of colour - my shoes are a bit funky....:o

I need help I think - I will continue to stalk you all for some ideas. Hope you dont mind :)

  • Hey everyone, not posted here before but I need some help!
I love those high waisted knickers that are around, I've found some I like in topshop but I haven't got a clue what to wear them with (apart from tights, obviously!).

Any ideas or inspiration would be gratefully received, trying to keep top to under £30 as it's a birthday outfit and I won't be paying for it. My sister said a crop top, but I'm a bit reluctant because I've got big boobs and the knickers themselves are a bit fashion forward, not sure I would be comfortable in a crop top as well.

    Thanks
    Amy

Hey Grammargirl, soooo glad I'm not the only one. If we get chucked out the club we can talk about Project Catwalk and X Factor together!

Welcome to the thread, Kandipandi. There's always some great tips and suggestions on the board so you'll never be short on inspiration. Some of us have even got blogs where we photograph our outfits, share tips and discuss all things frivolous - click on Grammargirl, Daisybella, Piratefairy and my avatar and view our homepages!

Princessamy86 - do you mean those sparkly knickers I've seen in TopShop and Urban Outfitters? They'd look cool with very thick black opaques, statement ankle boots, a vintage rock band tee shirt and a black tuxedo jacket.

Grammar- I only watch X-factor (though I'm boycotting it this year) and I'm a celeb...not entirely sure how/why I've got so addicted to it though, I'm not normally a TV person!

Kandi- welcome aboard :) you'll find loads of inspiration here from our stylish girlies!

Moonbabe- ooh, how exciting about the house :j

Princessamy- Goan has suggested what I would, I love those highwaisted knickers, but I dont have the courage to wear them (or anywhere to wear them!)
  • Goanmad yes they're exactly what I mean! Vintage rock band tee...hmm haven't got one lurking in a cupboard so where would you get one from? Also any ideas on tights which don't have the weird shorts thing round the top of the thigh? Can't think how to describe it, will need tights which look the same all the way up iyswim?

Daisybella: I'm wearing them on a very bog standard night out in town! Hopefully they will go down well...

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Welcome to newcomers.

    I'm afraid I haven't a clue about high waisted knickers.....as outerwear I gather? Terrifying!

I wore white and black maxi dress, black cardi and flat black patent leather shoes, white sunglasses, wedding rings, green earrings and grey oversize handbag. I'm going to be wearing this once a wee through out winter as going for weekly montoring which includes weighing at my GPs and want to wear the same clothes for some degree of accuracy. I will alow different earings though, lol.

To celebrate things going well at the doctors I went a little crazy (been a long time since had good news!) and dipped in to Space NK and bought some Laura Mercier mineral powder foundtion (good skin IS an investment ;)). I had forgotten to take the emailed discount voucher, but they looked me up on their system and gave it anyway, they are always so nice in there.

DH bought me a pair of frilly knickers from Accesorise, and then I also sent £3.95 on a pair of wooded bead earings, and £5 on a little gold coloured bracelet I liked. I clutched onto a stunning gensone necklace in a shop for a bout 20 minutes before puting in back and leaving empty handed. If I still want it, and its still there, in January I might go back.

I popped in to Office shoes and Dune fully prepared to buy a pair of shoes, but nothing really grabbed me ...that doesn't happen often.

I did notice in M &S some control underwear that didn't look like it came out of a medical supplies, red and black body contol. What an improvment. Nothing worse than squeezing into those intruments of torture to look glam while you know underneath not only do you feel like a sausage about to burst its skin in the over but you look like a knee bandage.
