Morning to all. Coco Avant Chanel was fabulous. Stunning cinematography, Audrey Tautou was gorgeous and captivating, the clothes (especially at the end) were amazing and the French language made every word sound glamorous and exciting. Brilliant film, I recommend you all go see! :)

    Here's today's:

Deep purple oversized vest (Topshop, £16)
    Black leggings
    Mustard yellow cardi
    Yellow suede skinny waist belt
Green pumps with bows (Topshop, £25)
    Long owl pendant necklace
Golden eyeliner (Officially called Tequila Sunrise!:))

Fashionable MSE task for the day: Sort out my junk for upcoming car boot on Sunday. Really can't be bothered, but it needs to be done. My friend who's coming with me has set up an actual stock room in the spare bedroom, she puts me to shame!

Definitely, definitely Carrie's, although I'm quite fond of Charlotte's cute, all-American prep style.

Some of the things Carrie wears you know you'd never get away with on the cold streets of Barnsley (or wherever, no offence to Barnsley inhabitants!) though!

In the film I loved her studded belt and fierce Dior shoes. I think you can take elements of her look and really make them work - the big corsages, name necklace, pretty dresses toughened up with studded belts and spiky heels, etc.

I'm a bit of a New York obsessive, hoping to make my first trip out there next Easter and will definitely do the SATC tour! My ultimate dream is to move out there and live in the suburbs, freelance writing for some fabulous tome while I work on my novel! Sigh!

I thought that Miranda was always beautifully dressed. She was my favourite. :D

Anyway, I'm being braver today, seeing as it's so hot.

    D&G ripped jeans
River Island big collar shirt, shocking pink
    Leather flip flop/sandal things

Squirt of Guerlain Vetiver to give the whole thing some class (wishful thinking).

    Hope everyone's OK this morning!

Oh my goodness - you have to go you have to go you have to go.

New York is amazing. It's like London 2.0. You won't want to come back, trust me. I stayed out there for a while after university (a lot of my family are American) and I loved every second.

Trip of a lifetime. End of.

Eeeek! I've been planning it for my entire life. My OH and I are planning to move out there for a year or so (if we like it after the trip next year, which I'm pretty sure we will!) as we can both do our jobs freelance so should be ok for work. His family live in New England too, so we have those connections if we need them! How very exciting.

Apologies for my use of the word 'fierce' above. I think I'm channelling Beyonce today! :rotfl:

Ooh ooh me too!!!! Only it would have to be Manhattan for me, nothing else will do. Maybe Greenwich Village, I could just see myself there with the whole of Carrie's wardrobe and a stone lighter! If only I could find paid work I would live there in an instant...

As you can tell I loooove New York. :D

Bits of Carrie's and bits of Miranda's, but overall it would probably be Charlotte's. I really like that gamine Audrey Hepburn-esque look, with the full skirts and the big sunglasses and the cute headbands and the natural make-up.

Anyway, today's outfit for me is:

    - Pink V neck jumper (Dorothy Perkins)
    - Brown tweed wide leg trousers (H&M)
    - Cream quilted ballet pumps with black patent toes (New Look after Chanel)

I know it seems like a bit of a random combination but I felt like it today...

In work until half five, then home to pack for going to see my boyfriend in London tomorrow :D

    Have a good day everyone!

Sing it, girl. 'Fierce' is a great word. I'm assuming that you snap your fingers as you say it? ;)

Oh it sounds amazing - I am so jealous! I'd kill to go back to the States, New York specifically. You'll have the best time. It's not as ludicrously expensive as people will tell you either - of course it can be, but just like London, if you hunt out the local stuff and avoid the tourist traps you can have a great lifestyle for not too much money.
