  • Can somebody help me or advise me. I purchased / completed in November with Wolstenholmes, as a cash purchaser, and was given the keys to the property so I am assuming that all the funds went through. But I have been waiting for the deeds and thedocumentation for my property, but nothing has yet come. I checked with land registry today to find that the property is not in my name, and am now at wits end as I do not know what to do. (These people are just serious con men and should never be allowed to trade). Couls somebody help me or advise me on what to do. thank you

gptaylor9: I'm not involved with this saga myself, only following the threads. You may well get the help you need here and I hope you do, but have you also looked at the other Wolstenholmes longer thread, where most of the questions along the same sort of lines (and the replies) seem to be from others in similar situations?

  • We used their Birmingham office and it was a bloody nightmare !
I have to say when you got to speak to your solicitor in ths case Zakir Hussain it was ok but the HUGE problem with this company is communication !!!
Trying to suimply ring them and get a reply is almost impossible, the phone just rings and rings or it is constantly engaged, they do not ring back if you get a recorded messge, I even tried emailing people in their company I wasn't dealing with and they never replied either. They also made a couple of mistakes, told me they hadn't received paperwork then found out they had. My advice is very simple DON'T USE THEM UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING STRESSED OUT AND TURNED INTO A FRUSTRATED WRECK.

    Good advice.

    Don't use Wolstenholmes.

I dunno though... they do look cheap. What do you think - worth a punt?

It is only my house, after all.
  • I joined Wolstenholmes in May. Took me 6 months to move. I moved on 17th November 2009. They have not paid £2,760 to my Estate Agents for my fees. My Estate Agents are threatening ME with legal action.

Wolstenholmes website and phone number appear to be invalid now. I can't get hold of them.

    PLEASE!!! Can anyone help???

pyoung2878: see post #93 above and if necessary re-ask your question at the other thread linked, which now seems to be the main one for ongoing information and help.
There has been a request to have the two merged, but it hasn't happened. It would be more straightforward than continuing two.
