You don't pay the claims company until you have received the payment from the lender.
  • The refund should be sent to you. You can then pay the CMC.

Don't worry, they will be informed of the successful claim and they will be chasing for their pound of flesh immediately.
  • Ok thanks, it's just I thought with 'the claims guys' I had to send them money first before I got my cut? or do you stick to your guns and they finally get the payment over to you? I'm confused here with reading up about this company on the internet, it's a lot of money to send first without knowing whether I will get what they say, I'm not bothered about how % they ask for or get as I wouldn't have got that far in the claim anyway.

You don't pay until you get your cash, how would you pay if you didn't have the money to hand? All the info you provided to them to complain could have gone direct to the bank and you would have kept 100%, they were no more likely to succeed. All you had to do was post a form off, not sure how hard that could be?

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Well, I was in my 20's when I had a loan with Northern Rock(which is over 20 years ago)who aren't 'there' anymore so I wouldn't know who to contact in that instance, then I have absolutely no record of that loan in paperwork or whatever else so I never had a clue how to go about things, so I got these to do that work for me and now I have a successful claim form which I am yet to read as it's at another address but before I sign I wanted to know that if I do send it off, then will I get the money from a now defunct Northern Rock bank? If I know I'll get the money they say then I have no problems giving them the 30% + VAT as it's money I thought was long gone, just as long as they take it from the 'Northern Rock' moneys.

It's a shame you didn't come ask on here first, you would have had 100% of your money

No. They take it from money Northern Rock would otherwise pay YOU!
  • Hi all

I have previously tried to claim PPI with mse's template and advice. I have no details of who I may or may not have had PPI with. I was successful with some companies and not with others. I heard on the radio that claims guys will do a search. If they find claims you can then either get them to claim it and pay a fee, or they have said that you can claim it by yourself and not pay a fee.
As I have tried myself I feel like I might as well give this a go, and anything they find, I can claim myself and not pay them fees Does this sound like a good idea? Has anyone used them before?
    Thank you

If these were claims before your bankruptcy then the money isn't yours anyway

If it's after then you have already claimed, the claims firm will simply ask you who you had finance with and send off the complaints - they'll probably bill you for time wasting when they realise you have already complained and got some money back
