Afternoon all,
In hospital with OH this am for his Warfarin check...half of Ireland seemed to be there to-day! Had really nice salad roll and cappuccino afterwards as brunch so only dinner to have later, steak, mushrooms and potatoes, with pineapple and icecream afterwards...got 4 ripe pineapples and 10 bananas for €3 so was very happy with that, love pineapple.
Had a lovely surprise this morning, meeting an MSE who is in Ireland for a few days....have done a thread 'Dublin meet' if anyone else is interested.
Drizzling rain all day to-day, still no news of my car being returned so DD2 has gone off to Cork in the courtesy car, we put her on insurance yesterday so its all above board....I would make a terribly bad law breaker, can't rest unless all is up to date. She is staying with DD1 to-night and heading off to West Cork tomorrow to visit friends.
Sorry to hear that we still have people not feeling well....Burp...sometimes think that it is very hard to get old, but glad that your nan has such a loving family. My godmother will be 100 to-morrow, health is fairly good, but doesn't know who she is or where she is most of the time....sad...she won' t even know about her party on Saturday unless she is having an extremely good day.
Hugs to all in need or want, congratulations to all who are celebrating and welcome to any newbies

the weather has turned into the perfect drying weather, so I have whipped all the bedding off and now its blowing merrily away
have cleaned out my 'tins ' cupboard in the kitchen (which is also my baking cupboard) and the corner cupboard in the kitchen where all the stuff people dont know what to do with ends up  I have thrown out a bag full of carp and out of date stuff
off to sit in the garden with a cuppa

Hi everyone
sistercas - not thrown out out of date tins  what happened to OS. They haven't blown I use them regardless, i.e. red salmon salad for lunch today, two meat pies made Monday, and a Tuna Pasta Bake on Saturday.
Any other suggestions for Red/Pink Salmon?? Wonder what a Salmon Pasta Bake would be like?
Snoozer - Sorry to hear about M&D, and your spoilt Anniversary, hoped you managed a romantic phone call from DH. My Dad has his brain stroke and went into immediate dementia on ours!
He has no idea of anything or anyone now so a party for his 90th next year is a definite no. The EMI Nursing home will have the usual cake and he will enjoy a piece, eating and drinking seem to be the only things he understands, though he has to be fed.
Early rain has given way to sun, breezy though. Made a brown loaf earlier, and now have a Spicy Tea Bread in. Wash on line and almost dry:T
Everest & Kilimanjaro, await ironing:o
M - Oh yes the ex-pats know to grab the events when they can and make the most of them, and the French (and Spaish) like a party.
Hope everything went OK at the Drs. H-J, and you are feeling a bit better today Pen-Pin, and every one else under the weather.
:grouphug: grab one if you'd like one
:hello: Newbies

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the good wishes. My delivery did arrive eventually, a beautiful bouquet of ross and lillies and a box of belgian chocs.
Dad fancied sago pudding tonight so I made enough to freeze some portions for him. We're finally starting to get him on track with his eating - he's happy with soup so I want to make some to freeze for when mum gets out of hospital. It's an effort getting enough calories down him so that he can start putting on weight and regain his strength.
Hugs to everyone in need and those still feeling ill.0 -

Evening All
Was up at 6am today ready to go to a community market with my jewellery. I did ok really, better than some craft fairs I've tried.
Enjoyed an afternoon nap for the first time in ages, but it was needed.
Weather's turned here. Was boiling hot at 8am now quite chilly. We've one tomato turn red so far, so hopefully the others will follow soon, but the beans are awful. Some more card making stuff arrived this morning - taken a long time to get here mind.
Having home cooked ham for dinner with some runner beans I bought at the market.
Hope everyone's ok
