Sold car on ebay

Have just sold my car on ebay--obviously cash on collection.
The person who has bought it has 1 feedback and is 400miles away  so I'm betting its a timewaster !!
Car has no MOT or tax and has been sold for parts.
How long do I need to give them to pay and collect? Really need the car away ASAP

Have you heard from them or contacted them since the auction ended?0

Could be someone with family in the area. Or someone that's moving house soon to nearer where you live. Or even someone that wanted that specific car in the colour you had it in.The person who has bought it has 1 feedback and is 400miles away  so I'm betting its a timewaster !!
What type of car was it? If it's something with a cult following (Mustang, Charger, DMC etc) or something only available by importing, that'd also explain it. If it's a Corsa or Mondeo... no idea

Their problem surely, as long as you get the cash and you put in the listing the condition and the lack of tax/mot?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
if he has tradeplates he can drive without RFL or MOT as he is a motor trader and may be taking it to an mot station (his own)0

Just think its fishy to drive an 800 miles round trip for an old banger of a car. Maybe i'm just being paranoidTRYING hard to be a good money saver :rolleyes:0

Maybe he's sending someone a bit closer to pick it up? If he's a dealer, he might have a few premises dotted about.:j30/7/10:j

I wouldnt worry, you have proof of sale, make sure everything is filled out correctly on the log book and leave it to him. If he can get it working and it makes him a profit the drive may still be worth it. Most of the time with cars its the labour costs that makes cars unsaleable so if he can just pay for parts and sell it on he will get something out of it.£2 Savers club £0/£150
