Martin - what a wonderful gesture. The money will be so welcome and so desperately needed. Thank you.
It is so easy to donate online but may I remind you if you are a tax payer remember to tick the Gift Aid box please - that's an extra 28p for the charity.
Thank you.
To those who are waiting for news - my thoughts are with you.0 -
I hope Martin won't mind and of course not to detract from the very generous donation but I would like to thank each and every single user of MSE past ,present and future ,that made it possible
And the biggest thanks to Martin0 -
Well done Martin. £7000 is great.
I am sure we can all make our own donations too - every little helps.Born to shop;)0 -
good one - anything we can do to (legitimately) help increase the revenue and therefore expenditure and donation directed to charity?Blah0

Thank you Martin for such a generous spirit.
I came to the site to try and find a way to make a donation and now feel a little bit better when I read of your gift.
I rang the above number to make a donation but it looks like there is a typo with the earlier posting. The chap who took my call knew immediately what I was calling for and gave me the "Donation Line" which is 0870 6060 900.
Looks like all the MSE community may be trying to ring at once as the lines are too busy at the moment to get through but I will keep trying.
Thanks again Martin. The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0 -
The key thing vanoonoo is money is made for a mix of clicking the right links (with some) or applying for a product (with others) so as long as you use the 'links that help' where possible, that'll always work

They're taking donations online at:
http://www.worldvision.org.uk/
This was one of the sites Martin posted for the "What to buy for someone who has everything" (or similar). But it's an excellent site and somewhere there's an 0800 number for people who don't like to donate online.
I'll agree with the others Martin. It looks like an insurmountable problem but every penny helps.0 -
Well done Martin and whoever/whatever made the donation possible. Thoughts and prayers to everyone involved in the disaster.0

Great idea and to donate £7000 is wonderful.0
