I've just managed to sell first item on amazon, so just going to wrap that, address and put in bag ready to post tomorrow.

Got clothes washing to do ready for work this week. Landlord has just been round to say theres a leak from our bathroom into the shop downstairs so am being encouraged not to use shower/bath for foreseeable future!

Other than that having a quiet one online, stuffing my face with easter eggs, crisps etc!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOoh and am writing off third set of letters to Abbey to tell them I want the PPI cancelled on my loan and my credit card. Why do they drag their feet on these things!!!

I braved the grey clouds this morning and hung out the bed linen that was in the WM overnight.

Put stewing steak and veg in the slow cooker for tonight, as I found some dumpling mix in the cupboard! Yum!

Met a friend for coffee (her treat) and we wandered around shops. Didn't see anything that I wanted thankfully!! Into Sainsburys (again!) but for her weekly shop (£37 for 1 person! I'm saying nothing ;) ) - so picked up another pressie for Xmas - ELC musical animal teether £1.25, down from £5.

Back home, linen dry on the line. Phew!! Still looks like rain though!

Going to make some ham and pineapple toasties for lunch (found the tin of pineapple lurking in the cupboard too!)

Got loads to do, so much, I don't know where to start!!

Just grilling some sausages from the local farm for lunch, with jacket potatoes & veg. Been cleaning all morning & didnt buy new quilt cover from Matalan, so no money spent again. This pm computer work & the odd moment on MSE in my breaks. Is anyone doing anything inspiring today which I could take on board ?( considering mentioning snickers muffins to DS2)
Enjoy your day everyone, even if its not so exciting.

I'm on my own as DS out with friend for birthday, OH working. Had tinned soup, yoghurt and an apple for lunch. Roast chicken (organic, naughty me but it lasts 2 days) for dinner. Should be doing housework, washing, ironing, but keep coming on here and ebay. OH has bid for second hand drill on ebay rather than new one, a saving of £90 and it is a better drill. He is without one at all at the mo so its costing us money. I am going to dig some life jackets out of the shed in a moment to put them on sale. Exciting. Im not planning a boot sale yet Lynz cos im selling most of it on ebay so far and i give all the cheaper stuff to charity because i dont give money.

I'm not, but I should be!! :rotfl:

I do have some questions though, particularly on how do you price stuff?

Is it a case of going to a few car boots nosing around at what people are pricing at, or can anyone give me a few pointers?

It must be 15 years since I last did one, which was a favour for a friend who doesn't drive/own a car. :o I've always given my stuff away to charity shops and the like, but it's time to make some pennies for myself!

Ali I guess it depends what youve got.

Personally, most of my stuff ie pretty bobbins, and if I dont sell it Ill be charity shopping it so will price at 30p for books, 20p for tapes 50p for videos about a quid for clothes although I have some nice jackets etc which will sell for more I guess.

My better stuff has gone on ebay anyway, and I have some more salaeable books on greenmetropolis. Ive some vases and bits & pieces but they are of the poundshop variety in any case, so will be looking at pence rather than pounds. OH has loads of vinyl that hasnt sold on ebay, I dont know what he wants for those...

  • Hello everyone.

I have been lurking around here for a while but haven't posted until now....feeling inspired my your suggestions I thought I'd give it a go!

Made breakfast and lunch. Then watched some of the London marathon (made me feel lazy!) then did some studying for my diploma. All free so far!

Went out this afternoon to an art gallery at the local university which was showing the British art show 06. Wasn't that great but was free! Went for a walk round the university campus and then stopped for a cuppa £3.20 (for 2 plus cake!).

Feeling quite pleased with the days spending...need to keep it up!

Big welcome to the boards, esp DFW Sparklecat. I can see you've listed your debts on your sig so have obviously faced up to things, that's the first step, well done. Sure you'll feel at home here :)

Today we took my sister back to uni, then went to Tescos for food shop. I gave in £4.50 in vouchers that they deducted. As it was near closing time we got a few reduced bargains, some finest walnut bread for 26p, that we will have for a simple dinner with cheese and salad.

Picked up a reserved book from the library instead of buying it.

Yesterday I bought the Guardian for the Supersize Me free DVD that I'd been wanting to watch anyway, we saw it last night. It had the added bonus of putting me off McDonalds for the foreseeable future so making me less likely to be tempted when I next walk past a yellow arch :)

In Tescos I bought some pepper seeds and hope I will have success with them. The courgettes, beans and tomatoes are doing well so far.
Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams :)
