Am delighted I finally have a hairdresser, I've been let down by a few now when they've heard I just have one BM and myself to do, but the lady I have spoken to today is lovely!0

Entry and exit music sorted. We also have a list of music we do NOT want them to play at all. Still no idea about hymns. I warned OH that we would be having a music-less wedding earlier as it was stressing me out too much, there would be no point in having a string quartet though. I feel that will be what people remember and talk about as we are both musicians.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Hi all - ajmoney invited me in!
I'm a slight fraud in that mine is not a wedding, rather a celebration of 25 years married but we married in a register office, and are renewing our vows in church.
I have 81 days to go, and am extremely nervous, and excited all at the same time. Its now getting very real - we've sent the invites (boy are most of them going to be somewhat shocked when they open them - we've told almost no-one of our plans), met with the priest and sorted readings and hymns, met the organist & choimaster and sorted hymns and music, and organised new rings to be made. We've tried to explain to our young DS the what's and why's.
Next is lists of food for our tea/do afterwards, low key and I hope short, bits of clothing still to buy (I need shoes - really struggling  to find anything that is suitable).
But I'm going to try and have a couple of days away from doing anything much about it all - and blitz a few very untidy parts of my house. I want the house sorted out before our day and subsequent holiday - and it won't be done unless I go get...!
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -

Another RSVP came in today, I keep getting really nervous about opening them as I recognise the handwriting and depending on who it is I kind of hold my breath until I see the answer. We are just waiting for 2 more RSVPs to come in for the day now. I wish I could say the same for the evening, we have only had 6 out of 17 back and 1 of those may not be able to come anymore. Most of the ones we are waiting for are from teachers, who would get annoyed if their pupils didn't hand stuff in on time! I guess they do still have 4 days!
74 days to go and only 20 until I hand in the forms to give notice  it will definately be real by then!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Aaargh  After all the heartache of my sister putting the deposit on BM dress without me seeing the design the designer has now been rather rude toward my mum and said the dress probably won't even look like the sketches she drew. She wouldn't draw sketches without a deposit, drew them with a picture of what my sister wanted alongside and then it wouldn't look like that anyway  The likelihood is we are going to lose the deposit as we are running well away from her and my sister and I are going dress shopping in a couple of weeks to find something. I will hear the full story from my mum later but at least it is not too late to sort something out.
So my question is...where do I go to look for BM dresses? We don't really want a traditional style as my sister wouldn't look good in it (hence the dressmaker idea) so as long as we find something in the right colour we can then eliminate what we don't like. My mum is good with a sewing machine as is someone we know up here so can sort alterations without too many problems if need be. I am going to google the department stores now and have a wander round some tomorrow but if anyone has a suggestion of where I can look then that would be great.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

After some frantic searching on my part over the last few minutes I can narrow it down. We are looking a pale pink and cocktail dress length. Preferably with straps as my sister feels happier with them and that's all I can narrow down at the mo.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
