Claraclutterbuck You are getting married the day before me :j We only started planning ours about eight weeks ago and everything is in place. We had reservations/provisional bookings with most places within a week so don't worry. You should be able to get quite an MSE wedding getting married on a Friday!

  • Hi everyone! we have just had the go ahead from the vicar for our wedding on the 6th July! so it's full steam ahead from here on! we have the church, the reception venue, food, DJ, the banns have already been read and we have booked the honeymoon......T in the park festival! I have not yet managed to get anything cheaper for the wedding purely because it is on a weekday, when I mention it being a weekday they just say that the prices are standard no matter what day of the week you get married - VERY annoying!!

Thanks! Really can't decide on a photographer - the usual dilemmna, get a 'cheaper' one for all day or one I prefer but just for half the day. Decisions, decisions!

ajmoney, can't believe you have everything planned in just 8 weeks, I need to get by bum in gear and stop dithering over every decision!

Haven't got any bargains because it's on a week day although have gone MSE on some things - got a late availability deal at venue, my Ronald Joyce dress is a sample so under half price, I'm a graphic designer and H2B a printer so only stationery we should have to pay for is envelopes and best of all I won a trip to Canada (through the Comps forum on here), so we have a free honeymoon!!! :money:
Wins 2012: Mascara, Yorkshire break, Year's supply of Wine!!
    Freebies 2012: £94

Best ever win - Ontario trip (honeymoon!)

Our invites have just finished coming out of the photocopier/printer :) Just have 15 more pieces of card to put through to complete the sets of invite ,rsvp, menu, directions etc...and then to start on printing the evening invites. Good job I have an understanding boss- however, I've decided I am 'donating' to the photocopier fund when I'm done- that way there can be no comeback. I currently owe about £5.50 for my 110 sheets already printed....;)

Thanks Sammy. I'm strangely unworried about it all considering we don't have much time to get things organised. I'm sure there's something I'll have forgotten! ;)
