We got our invitations this morning, I really struggled not opening them as I wanted us both to see them together.

We go away for the weekend for OHs birthday tomorrow, he has no idea, I am so excited.

Hey everyone! Well, in the last few weeks we have done one major thing and ordered the rings! We are getting them engraved with a section of each other's fingerprint on the inside, something I read about online and really loved the idea of.

Other than that it's just waiting until next payday to pay for more things. Mostly though I'm just getting annoyed that my boyfriend seems to be Master Procrastinator - I've actually got a page-per-day diary where I've been writing "nag bf about picking a cake knife" out of the selection I've picked out, and it's been going on for about a week now and he still hasn't done it!

what about invites, place cards, order of the day etc- the paperwork side?
    decs for venue?

    cant think of anything else!

Invites are almost done (just waiting to print the inserts) as MIL-to-be is making them and the place cards are on their way. They've been designed, but we're waiting for RSVP's before making them up.

We're not doing an order of service, as we've only got 37 people (inc us) so didn't think it was worth it, and decs for the venue are included in the venue price (woohoo!).

Still sure there must be something tho!

Ebay is a godsend, dress, flowers and shoes came from there! And champagne flute bubbles for the table decoratio also coming from there.
    Step mum making the cake
I'm making the invites and rsvp
    rings ordered
    honeymoon booked
and I'm very eerily calm, not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I've either planned really well or missed out something really important lol
Congrats to all the other brides on here!:)

Going to sort the invitations over the next week and send the beginning of next. What RSVP date have you put? Think ours might be quite a short time span but we need it to get everything sorted.

We need to decide what we are doing about gifts, it is causing me more stress than the wedding. I really don't want anything but I have already been asked about a list once. We don't have any spare storage space in our tiny house so can't store loads of stuff. Crockery etc for our next place would be great but we have nowhere to keep it. I am going out of my mind...HELP!

    hi all!
picked up my invties yesterday! will try and get a pic up in a bit.
omg i was soooo excited! Was up really early and was at the shop as soon as it opened at 9.30! then went to hobbycraft as i wanted a nice pen and some envelopes. then went home and spent ages writting the names on them. they are all sitting on the table ready to post tomorrow. soo exciting!

re gifts- we havent put any info in the invites- we already live together and i didnt want to go to a shop like debenhams and do a gift list. when people ask me i am just going to say we dont want anything- and if they get us something then thats a bonus. i think ppl are going to ask me- but i am just going to say that.

re rspv date- i have put 31st may. gives some time to chase people then

    biscuit86- welcome :)

We are having these invitations (day and night) and have also ordered their RSVP cards. http://www.weddingstationerydesigns.co.uk/thistle-scottish-purple-gatefold-day-invitations-p-138.html

We have asked for RSVP by 30th April so we can chase up non-returns and order favours etc. It is 10 weeks before the wedding which is probably overkill but need to know roughly how many tables for flower orders etc too. Too many bank holidays in May too!

Woohoooo! Finally finished our evening invites and the day invites too. Now just have to sort out the church/evening combo wording invites for work colleagues and town friends who we can't unfortunately afford to invite to the whole thing.
I'm really pleased with them. Delivered my step-grandmothers card yesterday and my OH's grandfather. Love the look of puzzlement when they try to fathom out how to open it! I'll post a pick when I'm not so tired- 1.30am Sat morning and gone midnight last night doing them. Sleep required.... now!

oh- and I discovered yesterday that Papermill Direct stores are closing down! Visited Springfields shopping outlet yesterday to buy more hammered ivory card- none! Grabbed a big box of brown for outers of orders of service and hope there's enough! Apparently still selling online though, but what a PITA!!!

    18 weeks and 6 days....
