They dont even make the effort to ring for long mind so am not much arsed about them, though I will use the age old "phone against the speaker" technique if they next call methinks!Debt which IS NOW GONE before 31.12.2011: CC - GONE!!! :j Loan: GONE!! :j

It is highly annoying when I keep asking them to take my name off their list!
I wouldn't mind but I've got a new kitchen now and I have told them so! You would think this excuse would be the one to stop them from calling
Has anyone else being harrassed in this manner?
Yeah i had the same problem with them. I requested a brochure off them and since then i kept having random calls about new kitchen even though i specifically said we got new kitchen. It seems to have stopped now. I would just ring the general enquiries number and make a complaint for wasting your time. That usually works for me

I know its rude and awfully un-british, but I just hang up.
Most of them come via a call centre and you get a slight delay so if you can say 'hello' and not get an instant response its a fair bet its a cold caller. I've only hung up on the Mrs a few times

Don't worry about being rude, if they didn't ring you, you wouldn't offend them, though to be fair whilst the cold calling job is a poor one, that person is trying to earn a living and not sponge off the state. So being brutally rude is a bit unfair. when they ask to confirm my name after I answer I usually just say 'can i have extra pepparoni please' repeatedly :-) to everything they sayThe advice I give on here is based on my many years in the preservation industry. I choose to remain anonymous, I have no desire to get work from anyone. No one can give 100% accurate advice on a forum if I get it wrong you'll get a sincere apology and that's all:D
Don't like what I have to say? Call me on 0800 KMA;)0 -

Ask to speak with the manager, ask for his/her name, the address where they are calling from, their contact telephone number and then ask to be removed from their database.0

sign up with the tps - telephone preference service
next time they call , tell them you are registered and that they are breaking the law by continuing to contact you
all companies are supposed to check the tps listing to ensure they are not cold calling anyone who has registered
We registered with the TPS and the number of cold calls that we got dropped, but certainly didn't stop. Seems to have increased recently, too.
You'd be shocked at how many advertising facsimiles the hospital that I work at gets. So many that at one time it emptied the fax machine of paper overnight meaning we didn't get important patient information until we worked out the problem.0 -
